Not sure if Sivasubramaniam will be taken to task and discplined. For him, what he did was right, but then after being explained, he said it is misunderstanding. Probably he was frustated and had received many iniquiries from the Indian community in Buntong and Perak. The issues of schools not allowed to invite leaders from opposition-ruled states appeared in Penang and Selangor. The Sun then reported that all 5 states were given the directive. The Education Department DG clarified that such ruling existed for long time. Only certain people were allowed to be invited – Education Minister and his deputy, Education DG, state directors and the representatives. But, how many times have we seen in TV and newspapers pictures of state EXCOs, MPs, businessmen, corporate leaders, Menteri Besars and even PM/DPM in schools? The DG also said that schools have to write to get permission if want to invite others than those mentioned in the ruling. Perak EXCO portfolio list

No surprises when I read that the Indian assemblyman is given Human Resource as well as health and environment. This makes him the 4 assemblyman to have HR as a portfolio, after Negeri Sembilan, Johor and Penang. Malacca, Kedah, and Selangor EXCO don’t handle HR.

MIUP Penang to close shop

The party got off to a wrong start by having its launch on HINDRAF rally day. Then the leader picked a fight with PKR. Now the Penang members are unhappy. What we (as man-in-the-street) can understand is that this is a party for the leaders with personal ambition. They are willing to join the winners instead of sticking with their principles (if they have one).
