115 seconds and 6733 points! Its been years since I last broke my own Solitaire record (122 seconds). Today, at 12.50pm, I did it!!! πŸ™‚

I play Solitaire (draw 3 version) quite often as a reliever. Its a natural thing because its easy to access MS Windows based computing devices all the time.

Friend

Sometimes is not easy to see things clearly. For example, imagine being informed that your good friend (who is like a sibling) just gave birth (as in a baby!). Well, for one, that means we have not met face to face for such a long period of time! That’s life in the fast lane. Even though we live within traveling distance, but very hard to meet. Can’t believe its been months.

But wait a minute, we do chat and email every other day. Not to mention plenty of SMSes and phone calls. It kind of substituted the need for physical meeting.

A friend would share the good things and the bad things with you.Β  People have reasons for not sharing things. To protect others, for example. Or lack of trust. Or its just their nature. Perhaps its quite personal.

So, what is a friend actually?

One thing for sure, no one is like me. There’s only one Poobalan. πŸ™‚ I learnt to appreciate myself recently.

Hmm…Prema akka asked what is “animation” in tamil. Got us stumped. And after searching the Internet, I found a list of English to Tamil dictionaries at Lexicool.

I tried the first one on that list: TamilDict and found out that animation is “asaivuuttam”.

Cool ha?

I’m going. Managed to clear my schedule. I attended the 2007 event and found it to be quite beneficial. Now it has been “upgraded” to PWTC level. πŸ™‚

Mahathir is coming, so this is a good chance to ask him some questions especially on his blog. There’s also a session on legal issues. Hopefully will be beneficial.

Here’s Novinthen, Mr Kamalanathan, and Amutha posing in the newspaper:

FORMER Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad will be the guest of honour at the bloggers conference called Bloggers Buff 2008 on Saturday at Putra World Trade Centre.

Mahathir, who is also a blogger, will be delivering the keynote address entitled Unity and Accountability in Blogging.

The event will be a conference-cum-networking event where established speakers will share their experiences.

β€œIt is a stepping stone to get Malaysian bloggers from various genres to come together to open up their minds towards different aspects of blogging and to comment on issues that affect bloggers in the country,’’ Putera MIC national coordinator P. Kamalanathan said.

GoMobile is sponsoring the conference, which is being organised by MI Fest Management. Traxx FM is the official radio station for the event.

The one-day event is endorsed by Empower Lives, All Blogs and Malaysian Indian Bloggers (MIB) and supported by Putera MIC.

The conference will be held from 9am to 7pm.

The first session will be themed Blogging Realities and deals with current issues like ethics, law, money-making and technology.

The second session, on the other hand, is targeted at young bloggers.

Kamalanathan said bloggers could choose to attend both sessions at RM60 while the morning session was priced at RM50 and the afternoon session was at RM20.

The registration form is available at the official blog for the event – www.bloggersbuff.blogspot.com.

This event is opened to about 100 Malaysian bloggers for each session on a first-come, first-served basis.

Call Tim Fernandez (012-601 1126), Felicia Wong (012-530 2682), K. Novinthen (016-557 4227) or R. Amutha (017-639 3631) for further details.

I just came back from a nearby house. There was a death in the house. its a new taman and we barely know people in our own row. But i knew the owner whose house had the tent set up. i thought it was some old person in the house who passed away. imagine my shock when i saw his body lying in the coffin! damn, i saw the guy barely 24 hours ago! i remember he had young kids. the guy who was standing next to me said the deceased had 3 kids. the two young ones were aged about 2 to 4 years old. they were still unaware that their appa is no more. His wife, a foreign looking lady, whom i’ve never talked to before.

my neighbor died of heart attack. age 37. 3 young kids. a wife who seems to be foreigner. just moved into new house.

i can’t imagine what will happen to the family.
