I heard the temporary (?) president Puan Sri Jayashree saying that “I have sent them a letter, they can appeal. They have 14 days..” or something like that. Sounds very much like Samy Vellu especially the “I” part.

Deputy and Vice suspended. Youth chief declared bankrupt, so asked to resign. What is happening to IPF?

IPF president Puan Sri Jayashree Pandithan said deputy president V. Senggutuan and vice-president M. Mathyalagan had been suspended for three months effective Nov 10.

Youth chief R. Ravi Shanker, meanwhile, has been ordered to resign from his positions in IPF after it was discovered and confirmed by the Insolvency Department that he had been declared bankrupt.

Jayashree said at Wisma IPF here yesterday that the party had issued letters to all three notifying them of their positions, which were decided during a party disciplinary committee meeting chaired by deputy president K. Murugiah on Nov 2.

She said Senggutuan was suspended as he had illegally chaired a supreme council meeting on Oct 12. Show-cause letters were also issued to council members who participated in the meeting.

Jayashree, who took over the presidency after the death of her husband and former president Tan Sri M.G. Pandithan in May, said she had cancelled the Oct 12 meeting at the last minute as several senior officials including herself were down with food poisoning.

Mathyalagan was suspended for issuing statements contradictory to the party stance, which Jayashree said were intended to create uncertainty within the party.

Ravi Shanker, on the other hand, has been given two weeks from Monday to comply with the resignation order, failing which his membership will be revoked automatically, she said.

“I must stress that these actions are taken as a disciplinary matter to safeguard our party from being misled by irresponsible parties,” Jayashree said.

On an earlier allegation by Senggutuan that she had used party funds, she said: “I assure you that ever since I took over in May until now, the accounts are in order and they are very transparent.

“Any problems (in the accounts) happened before I took over and it was Senggutuan who was handling the accounts at the time. So, he should be answerable for it.”

Jayashree also clarified that Wisma IPF is registered under the party’s name and not hers.

“We will have a supreme council meeting (on Nov 23) where our legal adviser, Selvam Shanmugam, will give all the details regarding the (status of the) building.”

Sounds very much like Samy Vellu especially the ā€œIā€ part. >>>Sarrr.. Datuk Sri S Samy Vellu ve kacau pannama iruke mudiyatha? . Slowly but surely u r planting the seed of hatred towards him within ur readers. U r painting the picture as DSSV as arrogant and selfish by pin pointing the word I .

A persons character representation differs from one man to another. For me , you might be a good man trying to help the community. But for some you might even turn as attention seekers or publicity seeker.

Same goes to all. For some or MANY DSSV might be selfish , arrogant or what not. But for those who he helped, he is more then god.

As a blogger or citizen journalist, we must take a neutral path. Adding spice n sugar to the story is not our work, but the main stream medias work!

Thank you for the comments. I was getting unusually high number of spam comments since yesterday. Glad to read a proper comment šŸ™‚

Actually, i was not hinting on arrogance or selfishness, but the idea of decision making by the leaders. Maybe subconsciously, the leaders feel they are the party, thus the use of “I” when in fact it should have been the respective committee or its chairperson’s decision.

anyway, i wrote what i actually thought. When i heard the lady speak in the radio, my thoughts was – “she speak like Samy Vellu”. Nothing more, nothing less.

Interestingly, had a talk with my wife on a person being good or bad yesterday evening. She said the same thing as you did. My argument was that the very core of a person is either good or bad. Most people are good, but they may do small small “bad things”. There are small amount of people who are “bad” – without regard for value of life. Maybe those are the psychopaths. Just my observation. My wife said who are we to judge them. True also. Kita pun bukannya baik sangat macam malaikat (good as an angel).

i think being neutral is not in the way you said. that’s like being emotionless. its the mainstream media who must be emotionless, but we are human beings with capability to humor, satire and self-reflect.

Humans are unfortunately emotion filled beings.

I am just pin pointing the heavy weight each blogger carries. When we start writing as though as we know a person, then the problem starts.

Political blogging is not like food blogging or tech blogging.

When i say Windows Vista sucks, it aint gonna make a difference in anybody lifes. But when i say something bad about a leader, problem starts.

I never said we should not mix emotions into blogging. If its a spade, its a spade. But telling the spade wont long last or the spade is not strong is not our issue if we never used the spade.

If IPF President is like DSSV, I would say its GOOD! Only a strict person can run a political party.

    • mmuurrllyy says:

      correct, correct, correct.
only STRICT person can run away with MAIKA money

      • novinthen says:

Yes mmurrrlly. He ran away to Arab Saudi and now staying with JFK in underground bunker together with Saddam Hussein.

Good lord! When you small kids grow up and learn some business/politics/real life!?

DSSV made desicion to return all the shareholders money buy selling the Insurance company which belongs to MAIKA. But it was stopped by NESA group.A court injunction was made.

When the court injunction is lifted , and MAIKA returns back the money , I dont know what other excuse you going to use to hantam DSSV?

I only have one point to raise who condemn DSSV or MIC.

Nadene Seithethu Nameku Ena Kelvigal Ketpathu Yetarku?
NEE enne seitaai atarku ene ketal nanmai unaku.

Samy vellu must stay on for another 2 term as MIC president and campaign for BN during general election.

30 years as president is not enough…..samy vellu shouldnt listen to what others said, they will say so many things but he should not give up and lose his motivation.

He must always think ” only he can save indian community and only he can do it”

As what his son vel pari said in makkal osai last year “God has given appa (samy vellu) and mama (pandithan) to lead and serve msian indians.
