Santiago’s famous words:

“Consider the recent election goodies given to the Chinese community: the building of nine new Chinese schools, the transfer of Chinese schools to urban areas, and a RM10 million allocation by the Education Ministry.

“After 30,000 Indians went to the streets to demand equality and protest marginalisation, what concrete steps did the PM do address the issues? He gave them a holiday,” said Santiago.

Samy says Hindraf leaders are not the enemy, just like Hindraf leaders said some time ago, MIC and Samy Vellu is not the enemy. Its the system that needs to be changed.

Interestingly, komala devi and devamany also to be dropped. but our “thala” (head) still remains, and true to his name, takes this as a challenge to win all the seats and prove that MIC is still relevant. Earlier, Veerasingam said no comments, now he says will contest in Tapah if given chance. Of course la, it’s a sure-win seat, any tom, dick or harry will want to contest there. » Read more: MIC seat swap

6 new chinese schools, how many tamil schools?

After a comedy by MCA Youth, now is the turn of MCA and Gerakan seniors to put up a gig 🙂

Anyway, on analysis, 6 new schools on top of 13 being relocated. Great news for the Chinese community. Now what is MIC going to do? The number of Tamil schools keep on decreasing under the name of “merger” and yet every year we say enrolment is increasing. Maybe we should make it a rule that ALL MIC members must put their kids in Tamil schools, and the members or their children must marry a person from Tamil school only.
