One boy does part-time electrical wiring job after school, while another (13-years old) distributes phamplets to earn part – time. They come from low-income families but:

The dreams and determination of these teenagers certainly do not match the size of the house they live in.

This article is really touching. A family (Ramu) earns nearly RM1000 (He earns 500, his mom 300, and welfare department gives 160) yet still living in longhouse. Padang Jawa Temple to be rebuilt (again?)

Now I’m confused. The new government has announced 10,000 sq ft land and RM40,000 from the developer. Great news, except that this was also announced last year by Khir Toyo! Does this mean the community is seeing double? Or is a case of promises made real? Khir Toyo promised, but Khalid approved it. No matter how it is looked at, the land and money is still coming from one source – the developer. The TV3 news highlighted speech by Palace official who stressed that the Deputy must also be Muslim since he/she will assist the MB in Islamic events such as opening mosques, taking part in prayers etc. Either Theresa Kok converts or the change the person. However, it is always possible that the MB/DMB (if non muslim) to assign such religion-related obligations to a representative from the EXCO – maybe someone who holds the Religious Affairs portfolio. Someone unhappy with changes in Penang

Only one group is complaining about the changes being suggested/implemented by new Penang government. No prizes for guessing correctly!!!
