My..my..my, when MCA talked about being vocal for the benefit of all Malaysians, no one would have expected them to use the the platform offered by PM – motion of thanks to the King for his royal address to drive in their point. At least MCA is keeping its word of voicing out its community’s concern as part of the strategy to win back the support from the chinese. MCA has been criticised as being lame in the past. Now, they dare to hit back at royalty!

Now, where is the sole champion of the Indian community and his armada of leaders? Too busy with rebranding MIC? Hope Palanivel, S.Subra, Subra, Devamany, Saravanan, Komala, T.Mohan, Murugesan et al can voice out on behalf of the community they are supposed to represent. No point talking behind closed doors any more. Its time to be more vocal and stand up for your community. Gerakan was quite since December 13 2007 until today. No, all of a sudden, they say:

Gerakan has always advocated for the abolishment of the ISA.

Penang Hindu Endowments Board should be apolitical

The previous state government dished out the positions to politicians. The current government should not repeat the same mistake. They must set up a committee to short list and select suitable candidates to be in the board. There should be competent people well versed in religion and community issues. Politicians who lead will be seen as making skewed decisions or under influence of their political parties. I don’t think the assemblymen should be in the board.
