Hi Sasi,
you can go to the pejabat pendidikan daerah (PPD) and register as private candidate. if you are not sure of the PPD office, then go back to your school and ask the office staff. You then can study yourself or join the tuition centers and attend tuition.

i suppose you are looking at IPTS? there’s plenty of options like MMU, Help, Inti, Sunway, UTAR,etc (some offer degree in finance and majoring in Banking, which is OK as well).

2ndly, depending on where you live, try putting out phamplets or give out samples to business around your area.

unfortunately, loan to study in overseas is very few, and i can’t remember any off-hand. why not try further study in IPTA?
another option is to talk to British Council, or visit british high commission.

my brother was completed certificate in engineering in welding at ITTAR.He’s working as welder LKT one of the company and he leave the company because of the salary.
after that he wont get any welder position and now he working as driver.

sir,
they have to get an internet line via TM (streamyx). either go through the PPD (pejabat pendidikan daerah) or apply via TM office/branches. also need to check if the school already has MOE’s network installed and can upgrade to include internet access. then, get some company to check the server and if need, install the necessary equipments so that can access internet for all PC in the lab (need some switches and probably a router).

Hi Mr. Poobalan ,
i need ur help regarding conversion issue.My future wife born as a hindu but after her dad pass away when she was 8, her mother convert to muslim.Since than she stay with her hindu grandmother and till now she is following hindu religion.Now she’s 30.Its almost 2years she have been going to court and counceiling every month just to change back her muslim name in the ic. They keep dragging the case and i do know wat to do now. Please advise me.

your brother should be able to communicate in BM and English (read/write/speak) to a certain extent.
1. most SKM courses offer govt based loan, so no need to worry.
2. what field is he interested in? maybe he was working before this and have some experience or interest on something?
3. which location is he staying?

I am a teacher who did my degree in tesl. i would like to furture my studies to do my masters. i am interested in moving away from language and getting into the field of child phycology. many of them are discouraging me due to the porspect later.I am rather confuse and if i proceed with my plans where can i enroll myself? my priority is ipta.

its true that the prospect for child psychologist is less than language teacher. its a small field, and so the opportunities are less.
having said that, getting an education is not only about completing a diploma or degree, but also about carving opportunities for yourself. in the course of doing your masters, you will be better exposed to those in the field and possibly gain employment with them. IPTA, hospitals, research institutes (both locally and globally) are among the possible employers. Alternatively, you can consider being an entrepreneur and open up your own centre.
I think UKM offers child psychology program. In any case, you can check with the respective IPTA website. Try the usual suspects like UKM, USM, UM, UMS, Unimas.

I am a SPM leaver(2009)…i studied in a boarding school and i got quite good results 2..9A’S AND 1B in SPM…I applied to enter The University of Nottingham to do chemical enginer ..and today i got the offer letter from there…the intake would be in july..i heard that most of the students there are international students…i am little bit nervous and still thinking how would i adapt my new life style there…i planned to visit the campus coming jun holiday..any advise n useful information for me?..forget to tell,i got B+ in my physics..

uni of nottingham in malaysia? i think it would be a good choice and exposure to mix with international students. shouldn’t be a problem. their campus is located in an small town area. there’s not much of a lifestyle change since still in malaysia
i would suggest that you check out their labs, library, internet facilities etc, since these would be critical for the studies. being a foreign university, it should not be a problem, but just do check.

i’ve very sorry to hear about your mother. My condolences to you.
1. what is your brother doing? how old is he?
2. is your grandpa working? who is supporting him if he not working?
3. are you staying in selangor? was your mother born in selangor as well?
4. did you apply for IPTA? what was the results?
5. at the moment, scholarship are very few, and your results are not excellent enough. only hope is to get financial help due to your family background. even that won’t be easy.
6. can you get someone to talk to uniten (a relative maybe) so that can reduce the fee?
7. PTPTN loan would be a problem since you don’t have the guarantor but still can apply. just attach the death certificate Copies and surat akuan sumpah.
8. uniten students get lots of scholarship? i never like that before.

for item 1 to 2, can try approach jabatan kebajikan selangor (check nearest address at http://www.jkm.gov.my) and see if you can get some monthly help. you have to put your grandpa as guardian to show that no income.
3. also, you can approach selangor govt (go to your adun office) or read more at http://www.selangor.gov.my i think they give some money for students who enter university (one time only).
4. wait for ipta result, so don’t enrol in uniten first.
5. wait for scholarships that suit you to appear.
6. ok nvm.
7. for PTPTN, you must be enrolled first, and the college will help you to apply.
8. this is normal la. they give a long list, but doesn’t mean every student get scholarship. nearly all colleges will do this. you can try powertek.
i say wait for IPTA result first.

Why not send your daughter for SMC class? Is there any near your place?
you can contact SMC at http://www.smc.com.my and maybe get their help directly. Or look for the centers near your home and approach them directly during class time to inquire.

IPTA is institusi pengajian tinggi awam. are you malaysian? there are 22 of them. you can refer to http://www.mohe.gov.my or upu.mohe.gov.my
matriculation is at http://www.moe.gov.my/bmkpm/ and application is at http://apps.emoe.gov.my/permohonan_matrikulasi/
i’m not clear on your question of which to do “sptm or spm” because you can only enter SPTM after finishing spm.

where did you do foundation? the place you can continue for degree depends on whether your foundation is recognised by that uni or not.
what is your foundation results? do you think you can cope with a difficult course like medicine when in spm you did not even secure B for science subjects? pls think carefully and truthfully. don’t be enticed by the colleges or agents that “everything can”.
if you are really 200% confident, and if your foundation results are accepted in a uni (this uni must be recognised by JPA and MMC), then you can proceed with your plans.
remember:
1. are you confident?
2. is the foundation recognised?
3. is the uni for medic/dental recognised by JPA and MMC?
4. do you have funds to further study?

Hi, nice job ur doing. Keep it up, why never reveal more about ur work details so that we know whom we are talking to. But guess u did help a lot of people here online. Once i get back to my banking job might be able to assists sum financial questions too in regards of loans.. as our fellow indians are not versed in credits as compare to our counterparts.

your problem is quite common because nearly everyone is interested to study medicine and don’t have money to do it! we don’t have the support like our Malay students, so you can mostly forget scholarships unless your results are nearly perfect.
my advice is to figure out if you can sustain 5-6 years cost of study before starting to study. PtPTN will cover about half the tuition fee only, meaning that you have another 150k + another Rm50-100k cost of living for next 5-6 years. (maybe be higher if you are the party-going, smoking, enjoying type). your parents should have invested in some property or saving scheme if you have planned to study medicine earlier. you can try loans like MIED or MCEF etc, but they offer a pittance which won’t sustain much.
if you can’t afford it, then you may want to consider changing your interest.

from what i heard, wearing specs is not much of a problem now, if your eyesight is within the limited range.
