finally, something that appeared on mainstream media (the NST) about the memorandum by HINDRAF. Just some hot air and no facts as usual 🙂

Samy Vellu hits back at Hindu Rights Action Force

PUTRAJAYA, FRI:

MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu today launched a stinging attack against a non-governmental organisation, the Hindu Rights Action Force (HINDRAF), which claimed that the Barisan Nasional (BN) government had done little to address the woes of the Malaysian Indian community over the last 50 years.

“I must state here that if there is anything that affects the Indian community, the MIC will be there to fight it out even when we are partners of the Barisan Nasional. To me, I have never remained idle and I don’t waste time,” Samy Vellu, who is also Works Minister, told Bernama today.

The MIC supremo was asked to comment on a 18-point memorandum by HINDRAF, which was handed to the Prime Minister’s office last Sunday by the organisation’s chairman P. Waytha Moorthy, secretary V.K Regu and its legal adviser P. Uthayakumar.

Apart from stating that the Indian community was marginalised by the BN government, in the memorandum, HINDRAF also wanted an end to special privileges given to Malays. The memorandum also took a dig at Umno asking the largest political party in the country to “stop playing politics” through the “mandore” (supervisor) system by dishing out aid to the Indian community on a piecemeal basis.

    dear killer…

if there are HINDRAF after election, you go and kill yourself!

u got balls to do it??

  2. Kamban says:

    Killer ,
similarly we have answered many many ppl like you on why temples demolished, why many temples built, why the money didnt reach them and so forth . But i’m not gonna repeat for you , since you have made up your conclusion .
I dont agree with the ‘brainwash’ thing . I was debating such even before anyone heard of Uthaya or Hindraf .
As you believe i support Hindraf , we believe you’re a loyal MIC servant . Well it’s your choice .
You outlined so many problems within the community , ok fine , so wht have your Boss , SV , has done about that ? Are you gonna say he is not responsible? He is the sole Indian minister in cabinet . Wht was he doing in the seat for 29years ?
The current wave of political awareness and makkal unity are the effect of Hindraf and not MHS or MIC . You thought it’s that easy to ‘brainwash’ 50k ppl to attend a rally ? A rep of 2million Indian , SV, cant even gather 10k for his MIC gathering recently …. furthermore many were given pocket money to attend .
The people will remain and rise for equality and if you chose to be outlier it’s your respectable decision . Good luck to you and your family .

the truth of ‘ppl marginalization’ could not be contained for too long .
Read a chinese input about BN in M’siakini .
    http://www.malaysiakini.com/letters/77666

But you wont see another chinese followup to undermine the writer . It’s sort of connection between pen and brain .
Well , dun be surprised if someone reply me saying the writer was actually brainwashed by Hindraf ….
    Happy reading !

The reason why Indians are so backward can be seen for your suggestion. You and the community seem to think that suicide is a solution to problems and it is a brave thing to do. That’s why suicide is highest among our community….

Bro…you don’t need guts to kill yourself, your need guts to live on and be successful…grow up and come out of that coconut shell that you had been living into the real world…Show how brave Indians are by bettering the Chinese economically or academically…and NOT by talking big, getting drunk, fighting among ourselves or taking the streets…

  6. Killer says:

    Dear Kamban

Well, I don’t buy that argument that these temples were old ones that were built many years ago and that was the reason they had no legal standing. Perhaps you can sell this argument to some dumb journalists or uninformed people but not to me. I say BULLSHIT (pardon my language here).

Some of these temples might be old but usually when the estate was acquired by the developers, these temples are either moved or demolished. Often these Hindus just move the temples to their new area without considering the legality of the status of the land or the sensitivity to other races. They tend to think they can build a temple anywhere they like in their new places, just like in their former estate.

In most cases, nothing will happen to the temples but in some cases the land that the temples situated are acquired by developers. Normally the developers will negotiate with the people for years, sometimes give land and money for people to relocate it. But sometimes, these irresponsible Hindus take the money but refuse to move the temple. Many a development projects and roads had been delayed due to such irresponsible behaviour. And I know numerous such cases. I will tell you that all the talk about 100 or 130 year old temples are just plain white lies. Most are less than 10 years ago, built when the relocated Hindus moved into new areas.

Don’t aks what SV did, please do your homework before you critisize someone. SV had saved many many temples but these morons keep building more and more illegal temples.

If you want to help the community, please educate the Indians to stop building illegal temples. And not help them to break the law and engage in illegal activities. The biggest concern facing Indians is not a lack of temples but poor mindset. But I don’t HINDRAF fighting that. It keep saying that other people are responsible for Indians’ situation.

Well, keep thinking the same way and one way even the illegal immigrants and Orang Asli will be ahead of us economically and academically.

  7. Najib Razak says:

    Killer,

Stop wasting ur time debating something that you do not want to defend. Are you helping the indians? Are you going to help the poor?? If not, then go and debate something better, here are the topics which you can debate and show ur intelligence and your humanity :-

    1. Why BN cannot solve the flood problems after so many years?
    2. Why BN cannot resolve the poor community problems?
    3. Why our govt sent a handsome angkasawan with our taxpayers money when they should be using the money to help the poor?
    4. Why is bumiputra given seed capital to start business (note we have prove) like entrepreneur grants but this is not given to non-bumiputra even when non-bumiputra is contributing taxes and EPF?
    5. Since non-bumiputra is not getting any special grants like the bumiputras, why should the non-bumiputras still contribute taxes and EPF??
    6. Why Linggam is not guilty even when his video is on TV??
    7. Why our Klang Assemblyman Mat Deros can build an illegal bangalow and still not thorn down when other temples are being torn down?
    8. Why there’s thousands of Mosques in Malaysia valued at billions of ringgit, where did the govt get this money to build mosque worth billions – is it from taxpayers money?
    9. Why did UMNO not argue about the Mongolian lady who got murdered by Razak? Are you saying that Bumiputra can get away with crime?
    10. Why there’s an increase of crime rate and even Mat Rempits beating up our polismen and not get punished while peaceful protestors get beaten by polis and FRU even when they are not doing illegal racing like Mat Rempits? Are you saying that Mat Rempits is above the law?

Killer, if you dare please debate with me, forget about Hindraf. Logon to UMNO domain in http://bodowi88.multiply.com

  8. Killer says:

    Najib Razak

First of all, even if you want to remain anonymous, please be honest and truthful. I don’t quite understand that for someone who claims to be a Malay and bumi is so concerned about the issues facing Indians and non-bumis. Frankly I think you are just an Indian pretending to be a Malay. So drop the mask and be truthful, for I will not debate Indian issues with a non-Indian. They just do not have the credibility to debate on the issue.

Secondly I am not here as a representative of BN/MIC/UMNO but as an individual Indian. So I have no interest at all in defending the actions of BN/UMNO/MIC. My only interest here is Indians related issues. Of course we can debate about other issues elsewhere, for I don’t have any intention to hijack this forum.

However my general comments is that your questions are rather idiotic and you will be torn to pieces if you debate with someone even with half a brain. And your questions clearly betray the fact that you are no Malay/bumi.

  9. Kamban says:

Dear Killer , if you thought the Makkal Shakthi rise just for one demolished temple you are dead wrong .
If you thought those in Makkal Shakthi are all behind in economy and academic you are dead wrong .
There are many neutral minded Indians like you whom only look at narrow petty things but forgets wht’s
actually sucking the community’s blood . When you are neutral minded how could you expect other Indians to be
genius rather than attending rally ?
I’ve written why so many built out of control and wht shd have done in separate forum which is pointless to you.
Typical MIC mindset which i’ve seen so far . Only handlful of MIC leaders whom i know doing something for community and
the rest are simply ‘pocket-fillers’ and gangsters . On top of all We all know how lay ppl cheated by maikka and telekom shares.
The sad thing is that many whom invested in maikka are poor grassroot ppl .
Besides , they’ve a mentality of ‘kill your community’ . We know what happened former Tamil dailies,Tamil writers,MIC branches…etc
which criticed the party leadership . We know how the party’s own deputy was treated like president’s dog all the while.
Your comments are targetting lay Indians and not constructive points to takcle future . And you seem to shielding
the sole Indian party (i can understand why , i’ve seen many MIC members) .
MIC , in today’s M’siakini , reported that there are 7 issues in the community that Gomen need to look into . Only now it
realized ?? Idiots , that’s why Makkal Shakhi existed in the first place. Most of the points were similar to wht
Hindraf pointed out……lembu punya susu lah…..

Did anyone said Indians will not work hard and wanna sit at home and demand Gomen to feed day by day ?
Rights is a basic need of any citizens . It’s a law in democracy and not a flaw . I’ve met many ppl (personal, email, forum…etc)
1 out of 40 will be against the struggle . Either that one is MIC member, civil servant or ‘tak apah’ fellow .
Just see within this blog , how many are actually supporting killer and how many are not .

    To others ,
in Saturday’s M’sia Nanban , a meesage from PM published about the programs for Indians and a promise (elction promise??) that
Indians will not be left out in the development . PM seems just woke up from long sleep….. he was awaken by none other than
Hindraf ! But there will be someone to take the credit , just like the Thaipusam holiday ….
So stay focused behind Hindraf and Makkal Shakthi !!! Let’s not stop till we see changes , change in MIC leadership for the start….

Note to Killer , we had enough time wasted debating w/ u . We go nowhere arguing among Indians . Just like Hindraf said no point talking to ‘mandor’ . I’ve success even in explaining to non-Indians . You have your direction (from your boss) and i’ve my destination . Good luck with your path !

  10. Killi Valavan says:

Killer , if Najib Razak hiding under Malay name so are you ! You screwing him means you’re screwing yourself also lah…….. so who is with ‘half the brain’ ?
You fail to respond to any Q from Najib clearly showing that you’re an ignorant and debating here for no good reason for Indians but just for sake of creating trouble ! Typical MIC attitude !!

To ALL , let’s stop responding to this ‘killer’ . Whatever we reply seems to be a booster for his attitude . Let’s ignore the ignorant !!!

  11. Najib Razak says:

    Killer,

Since you are an indian, then you should be defending the indians rite? And since you are REALLY an Indian, you should be happy that there’s a bumiputra or a malay like me arguing for non-bumiputras rite? Anyway, let you know Anwar and Bersih and also Keadilan is also bumiputras and they also defend all races. Aren’t we all Malaysians?? Since you are a Malaysian, and also an indian like you say you are, why don’t you defend the rights of all indians??? Maybe you’re half Malaysian and also half indian that’s why you are not defending you own rights. Or maybe you are also half-brainer, so should not have any rights to debate in this column. The problems in our country is really a race issue, the problem with temples are also race issue. Ever heard that an african/black can be the next president of United States of America even when USA is predominantly white for 2008??? Why not an indian be the next prime minister in Malaysia since our indians are also Malaysian? Even heard of mosque being torn down by our govt?? So Killer, if you don’t want to be called a “half-indian” or a “half-Malaysian” with “half-Brains” perhaps you should step up and defend the rights of all Malaysians irregardless of race color. What’s wrong with rakyat questioning the govt on corruption and mismanagement of our economy? You mean all rakyat is also half-Malaysians that’s why they cannot question the govt on the mismanagement of economy in relation to inflation and corruption?? Is Semi Value half Malaysian or half-indian??? I believe so, that’s why there’s so many street protest and condemation….or Killer, maybe you are REALLY an indian and also REALLY a true Malaysian but with only half-brains…..as presume by our govt!!!

  12. Before all else, that man must go
    Barry Michael Raj | Feb 1, 08 3:09pm
I refer to the Malaysiakini report MIC’s restless young blood want change.

The above report is timely since the Indians in Malaysia took to the streets two months back to show they’ve had enough of MIC and its nonsense. It’s surprising how much this community has achieved in two months that it couldn’t in 20 years.

First, it mobilised its people – once regarded as the country’s most timid – to advocate for justice. That prompted the prime minister to call for a meeting – the first between him and his loyal Indian voters who’ve been getting little all these years for their loyalty.

The next thing we knew, Indians facing murder raps for hurling bricks were walking free from jail. Even a religious holiday the community had requested for 30 years was suddenly approved.

But instead of wagging their tails in gratitude, as the government expected, the Indians are now showing a diplomatic finger to the MIC and Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s administration for trying to buy them with crumbs.

Their applause-worthy reaction also suggests to political pundits that it will take a lot more to win them back. The question is how much more?

Consumer advocate Dr Jacob George said in his letter says that the administration has to radically change the way it does business. He said it has to ‘think outside the box’ if it wants to keep up with society’s evolution, which to me is light years ahead of the current mental capacity of many government leaders.

In another letter, the writer said Hindraf has been catapulted into a ‘vanguard position for the articulation of the need for change’ in Malaysia. He said Hindraf, in challenging the NEP and its evils, as well as championing the Indian cause where the MIC has failed, has hit upon a very resonating chord within Malaysian society.

While I concur with George’s wisdom that honest change has to come from the government, I seriously doubt Abdullah and his self-serving lot will do any such thing without getting their butts kicked first. I also agree with the other writer that, although Hindraf is an Indian movement, the issues it fights for apply to all downtrodden Malaysians, not just Indians.

But before Hindraf gets pulled into a broader national agenda, I feel the organisation and the Indians who support it have unfinished business at hand – to finish S Samy Vellu and the MIC, even before the master plan is finalised for the coming general election.

As I mentioned at the outset of this letter, I had been waiting to say this ever since the Hindraf rally on Nov 25. The rally itself was a brilliant stroke that brought the world’s attention to the marginalisation of the Indians in Malaysia and the desecration of their temples.

It brought the high nose and brow of the government a little lower to sniff and see what’s burning within this community and find ways to extinguish the flames, if possible. All that was great but it’s time to move on.

What is needed now is a nationwide movement to pressure for the immediate resignation of Samy Vellu from the cabinet and all his posts in the Indian Malaysian society. To me, this is even more urgent than demanding for the immediate release of Hindraf leader P Uthayakumar and his colleagues from detention.

In fact, one reason why those people are in jail is because of Samy Vellu and his shortcomings. And when I say immediate pressure is needed to remove Samy Vellu, I’m talking about pressure that should start before the Barisan Nasional makes anymore preparations to accommodate him and his party in its election agenda.

Along with Samy Vellu’s ouster, Indians should call for the dismantling of the MIC and its removal from the BN. Indian representation within the Barisan in the coming election should go to non- MIC members in the ruling coalition. Whether those seats go to the PPP, Gerakan or other BN- affiliated parties sympathetic to Indians is something Abdullah will have to work out with real representatives of the community – using the same spirit he adopted when he met them after the Hindraf rally.

Preferably, Abdullah should split the MIC-designated seats amongst the different parties, so that no one can claim a monopoly on the Indian fate and all will try honestly to serve the community better. MIC members who want to salvage their political careers in one way or another can opt to join these other BN parties. Of course, they will not be starting at the top, but will have to work their way up from the middle or below.

If Abdullah doesn’t agree to the above proposal, then the Indians should tell him politely that they will do everything to ensure that MIC candidates who stand in the coming election will lose spectacularly, even to the extent of squandering their election deposits.

I know some Indians reading this will argue that not having a larger party to represent them could effectively make the community an even greater minority in Malaysia. My reply is: when you are already at rock bottom, where else can you go?

Having said my piece, I must add that calling for the complete annihilation of a party set up for our welfare by our community’s forefathers is something that saddens me.

Not everyone in the MIC is within Samy Vellu’s elite circle of corruption and general uselessness to society. Some elected representatives in the party, as well as ordinary members, have been rendering meaningful help to constituents and people dependent on them. But such noble souls are too few and far apart.

For the greater good, you sometimes have to do what’s painful. And the greater good calls now for this party to be removed from every aspect of society.

Indian Malaysians, do not procrastinate. You need to act before the MIC does – and causes more damage to the society in years to come. The Malaysiakini report mentioned above said that while the MIC has publicly downplayed and even denied the aftershocks generated by the Hindraf rally, sentiments are different behind closed doors. It says young leaders within the party are keen to get rid of the older guards at the top.

But, apparently, almost everyone still has ‘tremendous respect’ for Samy Vellu. I would actually put this as ‘tremendous fear’ – fear that the man will use any means to crush opposition that comes at him from within.

Indians at large need to understand that the MIC cannot dislodge S Samy Vellu without their help. If you close down this party, its present lot would, of course, begrudge you for prematurely ending their political careers. But if these people are true politicians, they will rebound – and in a better form. And they will thank you for that

  13. Syed lol says:

I agree with Najib Razak that malays and bumiputras should tolong menolong among all races. I am from JCI Malaysia which belongs to an NGO worldwide group. All my friends are chinese and also some indians. Although i am a bumiputra and my race is malay but I have a girlfriend whom is a chinese and also I contribute taxes and help a lot of indians and chinese in our NGO programs like motivation and development. I can’t see why our govt is only giving entrepreneur grants to bumis but not the non-bumis. In fact I have business partners whom are chinese but cannot obtained the entrepreneur grant because I have a partner whom is a chinese. Our govt must be very bias in this manner. As for Semi-Value, your name speaks for itself, really semi-value means semi-brains and also half-brains or should I speak in melayu….setengah harga. Some of my malay friends also support Keadilan and also PAS and they work together with all non-bumis, by right this buimis and non-bumis are already “basin” or stale, the word bumi or non-bumi belongs to the sejarah. We should be all called Malaysians, in fact our ex-PM or Tun is also half-malay but became Prime Minister. Can Semi-Value be the next PM, i dun think so. All said, my chinese and indians friends are very helpful in my business which is advertising and designing, I have been getting a lot of deals from my non-bumiputra friends and I also refer a lot of business to my non-bumi friends to “repay” in kind. I surely doubt that the NEP is helping the malays go anywhere coz all the money handed out by our govt is going to the middle-man pocket and not the poor. Being a member Junior Chamber International for several years, I have learned that we don’t really need the NEP to survive, I myself is a good example, I run my own business without any help from our govt and best is most help is coming from my chinese and indian friends from JCI Malaysia. I do hope that Killer can undestand that we do not need a corrupt govt and also a corrput indian leader like semi-value. So, Killer – please answer the 10 questions that Najib Razak poses, and if Killer still have some time and good faith in tuhan, pls join Junior Chamber International at http://www.jcikl.com/ to help the poor especially the poor indians and poor Malaysians. Terima Kasih. Insyallah.

  14. Killer says:

    Wah

Its looks like a Tamil movies with the hero having to fight so many goodas at the same time….

    Let’s take one by one…..

Kamban : Ignoring your ranting as you didn’t answer my questions.

Killi Valavan : Nice name, but pity the guy’s mentally retarded. Ignoring his ravings too.

Barry Micheal : Your arguments are not just convulted but also makes no logical sense whatsoever. Your could do very well if you decide to write scripts for Tamil drama serials.

  15. Killi Valavan says:

Reminder to all , Let’s ignore the ignorant !!!

  16. Kamban says:

well said Syed Iol . Semi value is almost no value . He must be replaced else the future of Indians will ruin .

  17. Killer says:

    Ok now for “Najib Razak”

My IC and birth cert say I am Malaysian and Indian, so there goes half of your arguments. Unless of course you want to use the JPN.

Anyway I don’t buy your masquarade as a Malay, don’t think I am as easily fooled as those naive and foolish followers of DANDRUFF, oops sorry, HINDRAF.

Talk about me need to defend Indians’ right ? What do you think I am doing here ? Wake up bro…

Keadilan and Anwar fighting for Indians ? Are you auditioning as The Comedian of The Year ? Anwar and PKR defending Indians’ rights is as funny as PAS is fighting for human rights…

Remember the Kg Rawa incident in Penang ? Do you recall what Anwar told the Hindus ? He said, “If you don’t back down I will make sure that no temples exist in the country”.

Remember Ijok ? Remember what did he do to the PKR’s Indian candidates ? Do you recall the ugly campaign that Anwar led ? Do you remember what he told the Malays ? “Don’t vote for a kafir, vote for our Muslim candidate “…

And how about Lunas ? He also pitted a Muslim candidate against an Indian from MIC. Can you recall how Anwar, PKR and PAS abused and insulted the Indians ?

    These are just some examples….

This is what is called as Cakap Tak Serupa Bikin…Ultra racist now trying to be the defenders of Indians and Hinduism…Anwar doesn’t even take care of his own Indian party members, do you expect him care for the Indians in general ??

Let’s just say, you are indeed a Malay. I am highly suspicious of your motivations and intentions too. You must be either a PAS or PKR supporter (in my book they are the same). If you really want to help Indians, please do us a favor by trying to change the mindset of Malays to be more independent and move away from the subsidy syndrome. That will be the greatest help you can do for Indians as a Malay.

We don’t need Malays or Chinese to talk us down or lecture, for we are not dumb. We certainly can do without your “wisdom” and please go home and clean your own house before you lecture others.

  18. Crazy Nuke says:

  19. Killer says:

    Hi Crazy Nuke

    Thanks for your hollow “sorry”….

If you had noticed no one disputes with me because they had no real arguments against my points. All they do is to let go bad and vulgar words and call me names…btw all these bad names doesn’t bother me, especially when uttered by people with no credibility.

The mini thaipusam is mainly to planned by HINDRAF to pray for our five leader’s and to show our indian gathering to prayers which we failed on the real thaipusam day.

    Valge makkal sakthi.

  27. Killer says:

Ha ha what a big joke, a mini thaipusam ! Guys wake up, we don’t NEED more religious festivals and celebrations…we need to change the mindset of our people…

This is exactly the reason why we are so behind economically and don’t blame the MIC or BN for this….

Anyone my prediction is both HINDRAF and Makkal Sakthi will be history after the GE…just wait and watch….

And I also predict that all those guys talking bad about MIC will quietly change sides and go begging for aid and support from Samy…

  33. Umanan says:

    Yaanaikkum Adi Sarukkum…..
What happened to his volume 10 speech now, arrogance, didn’t see on TV at all??? But mind you, power crazy ppl like him may not simply withdraw from any posts that can be kept…god knows if he needs another bashing before realizing the truth that time’s up. It really looks like MIC will become something that’s irrelevant bcoz it’s in such a situation that without him, the party won’t function and ppl don’t want him. So, who knows PKR may become a party that incorporates all the races big time without any divisions, unlike BN…that’s something ideal, but maybe not so practical…unless the need of “bangsa malaysia ” as a whole becomes a reality.

  45. truemalaysianindian says:

There has been much talk of the heroism of the Hindraf 5 and people especially from the indian community pratically worships them as the liberators. But those who have put on the thinking cap, will realise that Hindraf has made a fool of everyone especially the poor. One has only to read the memorandum to the Queen and also the 18 points demand as well as the allegations of genocide and ethnic cleasing to realise how we have been taken for a ride by the H5 supremos.

All of my indian friends from childhood days are very much better off from our father’s and grandfather’s time. They have a good jobs and their standard of living have improved from their childhood days. The only ones who are affected were those ignored by the indian community itself. There are the indian in the estates who were exploited by Indians managing the estates. Then there are the poor indians whose families are torn apart by the drunken head of the house and the surrounding which is not conducive. There are many more examples which i can quote that actually brought the downfall of indian community.
Let us ask ourselves sincerely, is not Hindraf a tinderbox?? Their views are extremely extremist and their actions are very erratic and irresponsible. If the government were to free the H5, then it would be simply granting them victory to do more damages to the country and very particulary to the indian society.
The goverment did the right thing in arresting the H5 and therefore prevented the country from being engulfed in a damaging situation.

The DPM has apologised on behalf of the PM to the indian community, Hishamuddin has apologised for waving the keris but when are the leaders of Hindraf going to apologise for tarnishing the image of the country.

Why till to-date, there is not even one opposition party leaders who is brave enough to question the Hindraf leaders?

What are they fighting for ?? Is their struggle really for the poor poor indians? How will their 18 points demand improve the lot of poor indians? What is their defintions of poor indians? How are they going to change the mindset of the indians if they keep blaming the govt for the problems faced by indians?
What is their vision and mission?
Have they forgotten that there are many more poor malays than indians as well as poor chinese too in this country??

Maybe perhaps if Hindraf is ready to apologise for their actions and ready to work with other parties e.g MIC, PPP, etc etc for the betterment of the indian community, then we can confidently call for their release from the ISA detention.

At the end of day, we should see and know the elements that is trying to destroy the peace and unity of this country and pro-actively reject the so-called elements that can destroy 50 years of nation building in a single day.

All i ask is that the society be informed of the true nature of Hindraf. Just as we criticise the government for their failings and shortcomings, let us also be fair to all sides and fairly investigate the claims of Hindraf in the so-called documents and memorandum it issued in december 2007. Let us not be freed from the chains of the ruling elitist only to be held hostage by the so-called “struggles” of Hindraf.

  46. Killer says:

    truemalaysianindian

    Well said…

I oppose HINDRAF precisely for the same reasons…We live in a mult-racial society and NOT in India. We are the minority and if we feel we are treated unfairly, we need to stand up for our rights but in a manner that is firm but not expouse racism and gangsterism. It would be counter productive. It does matter you oppose BN or PR. Such confrontative approach will be doomed to fail.

On the whole I don’t think we Indians have done badly, in fact we are much better off than our brothers and sisters in India. There are restrictions and discriminations but these have to be seen in a broader perspective to understand the historical background. Merely using the shortcomings to confront without considering the vastly more benefits we have gain is stupid and counterproductive.

I had said it before and I am saying again…HINDRAF has failed and doomed to fade away….Only a clear-minded and systematic approach will help Indians. Thuggish approach will not work, however much this has the romantic appeal to the Kollywood-influenced Indians.
