SV admits that the community “still had to fight” for their rights, and his probably right that the political situation is not suitable yet. Perhaps in 5 years time, it will be. A proper survey of Indian voters need to be done to understand the reasons for the vote swing. Is it due to maturity or in anger against the government, MIC, and SV (not necessarily in that order). Each voter would have his/her own reasons…and not all voters voted for the Malaysia Malaysian. Probably high in the rankings would be support for equal rights, support for HINDRAF, “anything but BN” mentality, hatred against SV/MIC, protest againsts price hikes, support for opposition, ideology, and local issues (ineffective earlier representatives). » Read more: Only MIC can do it says Samy

I’m still confused about this statement:

…the intake of Sikh students (who came under the Indian quota) into public universities and recruitment of Sikhs into the police force had increased.

Does it mean that the Sikh community have been deprived of intake into universities and public sector due to being under Indian quota? Probably I’m reading too much into it. » Read more: Sikhs Youth support PM

Samy Subra Kayveas and IPF

Among the hottest news in the community is the possible merger of MIC, PPP, and IPF. IPF’s leader is fighting for life in the hospital. News is that he is hooked up to machines, and not sure how long he has. He is diagnosed with leukemia. PPP, the “mosquito party”, will cease to be multiracial if it joins MIC. No news yet about MIUP. But since some of its leaders have returned to PKR, I guess Nalla will go opposite direction and fall on SV’s feet. Either that or join DAP ! » Read more: Samy Subra Kayveas and IPF

Looks like Prof Ramasamy who is DCM 2 will be in charge of economic planning, education and human resources, science, technology and innovation. Not to say dummy DCM, but average position.
