hi sir i m 2009 spm student, i would like to be a gynea in my future.
so wat should i have in my spm result sir.
hi kayathri,
that’s a simple question 🙂
to be a gynecologist, you have to be a doctor. to be a doctor…..you have to study medicine 🙂 So, your SPM results should be top scale if you want to aim for JPA scholarship. If private colleges, minimum Bs in few subjects like Bio and so on.
Hi sir,i was a former spm student who managd 2 get 1A in maths.my dream is to be a software engineering.no matter, how hard i try,i couldnt suceed.i got 5As in my trial exam.i feel lyk its d end of my life….i donno y im posting this,but i juz need 2 express my feelings
Hi Yamunah,
relax…life is just beginning! There’s no such thing as no options or choices in life..so cool ya… i suggest you take some time to forget all this, catch some movies or indulge in your hobbies or activities. sometimes the mind needs a bit of refreshment so that later can think carefully. get rid of the stress and anxiety. tell your family that you will need some time to “clear up” in case they pester you (in good faith of course, because they are concerned).
ok, just to clarify your problem – you got 1 A and how about other results? can you provide the whole list, or at least subjects with C and above?
if you have 5 or more subjects with C and above (including maths/eng/science), then no worries. if you have only 3 subjects, then just need to take a different path, but still can enter software engineering. you can check politeknik intake which is already open and still got plenty of time to apply. take a diploma in IT there. or take diploma/foundation in IT in local colleges like SEGI, TARC, UTAR, KLMU, UCSI, APIIT, Help, Sunway, …there’s a long list.
just to share with you, i did software engineering 🙂
sir,
im a 2009 SPM student,i got 7A 2B+ for my SPM,cn i get a schoolarship for medical studies….i got B in biology n physics…so can i get it since i have problem with cash…if i could cn u suggest for me an abroad university which iz reconized by malaysian gournment n plz give me some tips on how i could further my studies…
im hoping for a good reply frm you….thnk u sir
Hi gy3,
well, my first thought is a bit tough to get scholarship for medicine. its a highly competitive program. in my Related Website page at http://poobalan.com/blog/education-help/websites/ there’s a list of agents who can probably advice you.
very few people can afford to study medicine without financial help. most go for PTPTN loan, and also take personal/bank loans under parents name.
your next option would be to do STPM if cost is a problem.
hi sir…i just need ur advice on my future…..i obtained a pass in mathematics but i want to be a pilot….is there any way to overcome this problem….
Hi Harivyin
Sit for July paper SPM and score a C at least.
hello sir,
i was a former of spm 2009 leavers..
i got 3a`s 5b`s and 1c..
what should i do now??
what course do you prefer for me to take
which is demand in this country according to my result?
Hi Naim92,
your questions are general, so i can’t really say. 3As., 5Bs and 1C in what subjects?
you can: go to STPM OR take up foundation program in IPTS OR apply IPTA degreeif u are bumi, diploma if non-bumi) OR apply politeknik (diploma) OR enrol in diploma (IPTS).
what you should do is list out your interests for jobs, attend education fairs, and colleges open days to gather info.
i can’t ask you to take any course! so, its up to you to decide based on above.
demanding courses are engineering, accounting, medicine, veterinarians, law, police, govt sector, teaching, dentist, pharmacy, IT, and so on. you can refer to JPA critical course in their PILN application guides.
okay.. i got 3a4b2c in my spm… i got a for bio sej n english.. i want to do medicine n pursue to do surgery.
im heading for a private collage.. to do a pre-university program… which is the best course and the best collage should i continue with….?? Than after my pre-U what should i do.. i need a guideline.. i would like your opinion.. thanks a lot..
hi jeysigan,
your ambition is to be doctor. so you can take two ways: eitjher do A-Levels and then medicine degree OR do foundation and the medicine. there are many colleges that offer A-levels, while for foundation, USUALLY those IPTS that offer medicine degree will offer their own foundation.
You can also seek advice of the placement agents that deal with studying medicine in overseas.
I can’t really say which is best this or that. most colleges offer similar level of education. maybe you would want to consider cost, studying environment, distance etc as other factors too.
NOTE: make sure your SPM qualifications allow you to pursue studying foundation.
I also just added a list of IPTS offering medical degree. Refer: http://poobalan.com/blog/education-help/list/
Hi sir,
I just received my Spm results and they are not so good.I only managed to scrape 5As.My mother is a single parent and our financial position is a little tight.I want to continue with STPM.Would it advisable to do so..or should I apply for other courses?
Hi Kosh,
5As is commendable! don’t feel bad about your results!
as for your options, depends on your plans/ambition and your subjects’ detailed results.
STPM if you plan to enter IPTA.
give me more details.
I managed to have
A – BI, Moral, Maths, Add Maths & Bio.
B – Sej, Phy & BM
C – EST & Chemi
I wants to go for science courses but I afraid that I’ll not able to follow the lessons.
For business and art courses, I don’t feel I have the interest in it.
I afraid I’ll waste my time and money when wrong course had been choosen.
Any advice or ways that can test myself in what course I most probably suits me?
Hi Xin Ling,
unfortunately, there’s no real way of testing unless you enroll and attend a few classes. you can also attend the open days/seminars to listen to industry people talk about their career which may help you to decide.
your science subjects are not bad: A,B and C for them and also A in Add Maths. I think you can cope. if you have no interest, then that’s like half failed already coz your mind is not set for the program.
since your bio and math are strong, why not take something related to those areas: biotech, biomedicine, pharmacy, actuarial science, maths, statistics, and so on.
I already get my spm result,but not very good.
only have 5a,3b,3c.can i study for subject science?if i want study for medicine,my result can pass or not?and my result can apply for any scholarship??thank.
Hi yj,
you need to provide details of the results. if medicine need to do foundation first, which colleges ask for minimum B or C (depending on the IPTS) in science subjects. Scholarship is slim chance but you can give a try for those that offer place for medic. if not, you can take STPM/A-Levels etc to later apply for medic (STPM in IPTA only).
list of IPTS that offer medicine: at http://poobalan.com/blog/education-help/list/
list of companies that deal with students placement at: http://poobalan.com/blog/education-help/websites/ which you can contact to get more idea.
hai sir… i gt 9A’s 4 my SPM.. 4A+,2A n 3A-… i gt my A+ 4 english, sej, moral n add maths… A 4 bm n maths… A- 4 bio, physic n chemy… i would lk 2 b an accountant… so,, wat shud i do nw??
Hi Kanmani,
you want to study accounts and yet take science stream? 🙂
for accounting, you can do foundation or pre-u (SPTM/A-Levels, SAM, CPU, Ausmat) and then do degree. OR do professional certification which is CAT, LCCI and ACCA/CPA.
That would be in IPTS only. IPTA means you have to accounts in F6 and then apply.
hello sir,
i am a former spm 2009 student and obtained 3A+, 4A ,1A- and a B+. i got a B for my add maths. i intend to do medicine. would i get any scholarships or loans as i understand the competition is very high. i also have some financial difficulties and i have to think twice before enrolling to any private colleges as the fees are very expensive. so it will be a big help for me if i could get any link to study loans and scholarships to pursue my dream career.
Hi Kumar
congrats on your results. you can view my Scholarships page http://poobalan.com/blog/education-help/scholarships/ for details. at the moment, there’s not many offering place for medic other than Sime Darby, JPA or MARA.
You will need to take foundation or pre-u like a-Levels before doing medicine degree. You can check List of IPTS offering medic program at http://poobalan.com/blog/education-help/list/
you may consider talking to placement companies (agents) who may suggest IPTS in overseas which are cheaper than in malaysia. Refer to Related Website page in this blog.
Sir…i get
A- =Science
B+ =Sej,Moral,MPV,BM
B =BI,Seni
C+ =Math
What universiti i can apply…i need undergoverment U..But most of it I want be a software engineer can u suggest any U..
Hi Mooeksh,
you can try IPTA but i think it will be tough. Politeknik asking for at least 3 credits, so can try there. another option is to join under ILP, Giatmara, or Kolej Komuniti (all under government). you can take certificates in IT related field.
OR if you want to take PTPTN loan, then can consider IPTS and study diploma.
sir,here i need to ask u that my brother got 9A’s 1B(tamil) in spm 2009.he want to do aeronautical or any other aircraft engineering in local IPTAs.actually i dunno how to apply this course and what are the qualifications needed to do this course under local IPTAs.there is any scholarships provided for this course in malaysia??thank you.
Hi Kumutha,
to do such a program in IPTA, he can only enrol in diploma level program, i think only UTM offers it. qualification is quite hard, but i think 9As is good enough or may be overqualified.
there’s JPA PILN scholarship for engineering, but not mentioned if aeronautical is accepted or not.
no specific scholarships for aeronautical, but try checking the scholarship pages of this blog for those offering for engineering courses.
hi sir,
i obtained my spm results this year with 4 A+, 4A and 1B,
A+=bm,math,+mt & physics
A =Sej,Islam,bi, & bio
B in chemist
I am interested in pursuing either in aeronautical engineering or architecture…
am i eligible 4 a scholarship…
if so…could u tell me how…
if not, what other options do i have into fulfilling my dreams…
thanks
hi akmal92,
you got 8As, so can try for scholarships listed in the Scholarships page. however, JPA/MARA requires 9A- at least. your options are to do form 6, enrol in IPTA for foundation (if you are bumiputra) or go to IPTS.
hi sir………….i just got 4a,6b,2c in spm.then i still confuse about the courses. i dont wan 2 do stpm. im really interested in maths and physics. i got A for bm, bt, m3 and pm. i got B for bi,sej, bio, phy, che. i got c in add maths and est. i prefer to do agricultural and biological engineering. so i need ur help 2 choose the best course 4 me. 10q.
hi km,
if you don’t want to do STPM, then only options are foundation, pre-u or diploma.
if you want to try government (IPTA), then can apply for IPTA for diploma (upm has agri engineering, animal health, ) or politeknik (diploma).
if you want to go to IPTS, then foundation or pre-u or diploma. your bio, chemistry got B, so can enter foundation/diploma.
there’s plenty of programs like biotechnology, biomedicine, agribusiness, agricultural science, food technology, applied sciences.
i can’t say which is best for you, but depends on your interest. your results allow you to apply for variety of courses.
A-BM,BI,Maths,Physics and EST
B-P.MRL,Add Maths,PA,Bio
C-Chemistry,Sejarah
I don’t know whether I should pursue my ambition to be a cardiologist with such bad results.I’m hoping that doing well in STPM might give me a chance to do so.
hi kosh,
to be cardiologist is still a long way to go, as you have to get your MBBS first 🙂 . i think still can, only that your chemistry got C. Other results still ok. you can consider STPM or try for IPTS path via the colleges/uni.
Hi Sir,
I am a SPM student.I want to know what grade i need to do business in agriculture.I always get average marks in monthly test in my school.I’m arts student.
hi satish,
are you still studying, meaning will take SPM exam this year?
to do business in agriculture field, you can start working immediately, but better to have some diploma or degree in management, agribusiness, marketing, agriculture science and so on. you should get at least 3 credits to do a diploma. i strongly suggest good results in bm, bi, maths, science at least.
Hi Sir, it’s me again , Jackie …^^
sry for disturbing again.
my SPM results:
BM =A
BI =A
BIO =A
A.MATH=A
BC =A-
SEJ =A+
P.MORAL=A+
PHY =A+
CHE =A+
MATH =A+
1.)I had gone to the JPA website, and had applied for the scholarship via on9 .
(LOL…the form din ask me to fill in my results,juz ask me to type in IC No. and kata laluan , then family and koko info, i scared i filled the wrong form, may sir check it out ? thx a lot)
2)May i know the percentage of i getting the scholarship ?
3)while waiting for JPA scholarship confirmation, i made a plan which in case i cant get JPA scholarship, i decided…
i:A-LEVEL,(will it just wasting time as i alr confirm i m interested in engineering field?)
(can i straight away choose degree in chemical engineering without taking foundation again after finishing my A-level?)
ii)FOUNDATION(can i switch to other University after i finished foundation in certain college/U?some of them say no…some say “oh yes…”=.= )
iii) Diploma (if i take diploma in EnE , can i choose degree in chemical engineering after finished diploma? )
iv) petroleum (blur about the direction , the scholarship, the college/U , the fees , the qualification, the course study materials…=.=)
Sir can juz ans my questions one by one as the question is too much and i know Sir also gt your thing to busy…..^.^
Hi Jackie,
Not sure about the application form. i think need to enter results right? i can’t check coz i’m not SPM leaver and my IC won’t be accepted.
2)percentage? there’s 2000 scholarships and at least 8000 qualified students (but number of applicants surely more). so chances is 25%, but depends on you course options too.
3)
i & ii. a-levels allow you to jump college/uni, but foundation is very seldom accepted by other IPTS because they usually want to keep you in the same college. that’s why some say yes and some say no. if you want to jump after foundation, then better you verify in writing with both uni. my suggestion, if can settle in same uni. if you are not sure, then A-levels.
iii. i don’t think can jump from enE to chemical.
iv. petroleum . . go to UTP 🙂
yup, getting busy with many questions from students. i think will take 3 days to reply.
dear sir,
what are the requirements to pursue pharmacy?
i obtained 4a+, 3b for add maths, sej, n physics, c+ for bio . c for chemistry…most universities offers some degree, are they recognised by the goverment?
hi anne,
you’ll need a strong result in maths, chemistry, eng.
for IPTS, they must have MQA registration number to be recognised.
Dear Sir,
my son got
bm – lulus
eng – c++
perdagangan – lulus
science- lulus
maths – g
sejarah – g
ekonomi asas – g
moral – g
please help to advise if he cant get any help from the govt to do any courses sponsored by the gov.
he wants to to hotel hospitality line
please advise further i need help
Hi Mr/Ms Praveen,
his results not encouraging. i suggest enrol in ILP or Kolej Komuniti (both have related courses in hospitality) which provides allowances for deserving students. Refer my Application page in this blog.
hi sir,
i got
A = sej
A- = bm,ekonomi
B+=bi, mat, science
E= addmath
can i apply for ipta and how many % chances for me to be able to enter ipta
i apply for diploma pentadbiran awam course uitm
and i’m bumi
hi Amir,
IPTA application deadline is over. I hope you have applied. As for the chances, you have a chance in UITM.
i wan to be an actuary in future..now i am study STPM, it is very tough…can u help me to solve this problem?? what is the qualification to study this course?
hi nicolebaby,
you should take maths subject in STPM. yes, STPM is tough, but you have to work hard. what is your problem actually?
to study actuarial science, need to have good results in maths subjects.
hi sir,i’m a form5 student tis year n in science stream…….i’m interested in medical field esp. psychology.bt i get 2 noe tat tat field has very less demands in m’sia.so,i’m realy confused nw abt my future plan….if u cn,pls guide me,sir.tq
hi shantini,
psychology is an important field, but obviously its not in high demand like doctor or engineers. i believe that as the economy and living conditions improve, this job will become important as more and more people will suffer from mental depression and psychological problems.
hello sir,
i got 2A in BT n SAINS,
5B in BM,BI,SEJ,MORAL,SASTERA TAMIL,
2C in MATHS n FIZIK,
1D in kimia,N 1E in ADDMATHS.
my parents ask me to take stpm…but i’m scared to take…coz i think tat stpm cnot scored easily…my frenz all say tat stpm is so tough….my family mem ask me to take easier subjects to scored….is it stpm is tough??wat subject tat easier to scored sir??
hi Viky,
There’s no such thing as easy subject in Form 6. AND you should not choose subjects based on “easiness” as it may end up not able to apply for good courses in IPTA. You must take Pengajian AM, and another 3 or 4 subjects of your choice. Also depends on what subjects your school can offer. If not, have to take as private candidate.
STPM is considered tough as it covers a lot of topics, and the exam is related to topics taught over 1.5 years. Also, after you get STPM results, you are not guaranteed to get a place in IPTA, especially for your choice of course. So, that’s why many students opt not to take SPTM, but rather proceed to IPTS for foundation, pre-u or diploma programs.
However, there are students who take STPM due to various reasons – challenge, financial problems, not sure, and so on.
STPM top scorers mention hard work, discipline, focus etc as the reason for their success. So, if you think can do that, then can consider STPM.
You did well in Sains, but poorly in Kimia and Add Maths. Your stronger subjects are more to Arts based rather than Science based. Why? Ask yourself.
I say: ask yourself what is your ambition/interest. Does taking STPM help you to achieve that or not?
sir i get 6As(PD,EA,SASTER TAMIL,SC,SJ,PM),3B(PS,BT,BM,)1c(BI),1D(MATH) Sir can interest 2 study accontant…………can a sir?
hi honey,
well, you didnt take accounts in SPM, so why are you interested to study accounting? in any case, you can take CAT (certified accounting technician) cert first OR do a diploma. but lack of accounts subjects means a bit of problem to enrol in diploma program.
@poobalan, sir than wat can i do after spm? wic course better 4me in ipta?
hi honey,
ipta application already over. what course did you apply for?
you got A in economy, science, perdagangan etc. why not try for some business or finance related course. but your maths got D. i suggest you take july paper and improve on your maths results.
@honey, sir sory 4 disturb uuu again……. can i study 4 diploma in town management? tht is good?
hi,
yes you can, but the field’s job opportunity is not so much.
@honey, sir i must take july paper 4 maths a?
i would advice you to take because in future it will be useful to have at least C in maths.
@honey, ok sir if like tht wic field is good job opportunity 2 my result? pls tell based on my result……..
i would suggest you go for finance or business admin.
@honey, sir i wan ask how 2 take july papaer 4 maths?
youu should have registered through your school or PPD. but i think its a bit late now. you have to register for the november exam. better check with school or PPD fast.
sir sory 4 disturb u again……… i didnt get upu…i wan take stpm,sir u nw i dt take account in spm..but stpm got accounts subject…….can i take tht accounts subject 2 become as a accountant?pls tell me n explain wat other subject can i take based on my spm result……….
hi honey,
you most likely need to take some tuition to learn accounts. i’m not sure if the school will allow you to take accounts in stpm if you don’t have accounts in spm.
if you really interested to be accountant, then i suggest you go to ipts and take up CAT or foundation program.
as for other subjects, you can see from your results. see which subjects you did well.
dear sir,
sir i didnt get better result in spm……..i get 5A(SJ,PD,EA,SC,PM) 3B(PS,BT,Bm)… I F i wan study law wat can i do? i do wan study stpm,b coz i heart stpm vry difficult!there got any other way undergovment sir?
hi geeta,
you can continue with A-levels or with foundation programs in IPTS since you got 5As and 3Bs which is quite good result. for government (IPTA) not possible because you have to do form 6 first or got a place in matrikulasi program.
@poobalan, sir stpm difficult a? can i take stpm?
most will say STPM is difficult compared to other options like matric, a-levels, foundation, SAM, etc.
yes, you can, and in fact most likely your name already allocated to a nearby school.
sir i get 4As in my spm result..there are (sj,pd,ps,bm)5B(BT,MT,SC,BT)………..SIR I WAN STUDY STPM…….i now stpm is difficult n tough…..i wan work hard n do my stpm well……..can i take stpm sir?pls give ur motivate sir pls…………
i think you can take stpm since your results are quite ok. but you have to study hard.
sir sory 4 disturb………..how 2 apply ipts sir?
you just go directly to the ipts you are interested and enrol. just like going to a tuition center.
@poobalan, sir thank q 4r ur advise……………..ur advise vry helpful 2me sir…………
Hi Sir,
I got 6As,3Bs and 1C for Chemistry. I’ve been thinking of doing dentistry but with the C, I doubt I can because foundation studies in science requires a minimum of Bs in science subjects.Is it okay if I take my STPM or other Pre-U to my BDS? Or should I just think of another area to pursue?
deborah,
the C is a problem alright. to answer your question, ask yourself how serious are you in “thinking” about doing dentistry. if its your passion or dream, then take up stpm or other pre-u. if you are not really passionate about dentistry, then you may consider other areas that do not have a requirement for chemistry.
sir i decide to study law…………but i do no in future tht field got oppurtunity of job?sir others said law cant get salary so much,it is true a sir?pls tell me n explain about law sir………..
anjali,
law is a good field, but you must get good results. the salary is good and you can be your own boss by opening a legal firm. law have many areas – criminal, cyberlaw, intelectual property, business, civil etc.
@poobalan, sir if i wan study law by undergovment stpm wat result i wan get? sir if bcome a lawyer wat fizikal n mental qualification i wan need?
if you want to study law in IPTA after form 6, i suggest at least 3As.
nothing much on physical or mental qualification.
sir i didnt get good result in my spm…….. i get 6A In pm,sj,ea,pd,sc,bt n 2B in bm,bi n 1C in my maths……….. sir iwan interest study business……… can i study business? in future business field got oppurtunity? if i wan study business wat is my next step……but i wan go undergoverment………….pls answer sir……..
hi,
as i mentioned earlier, intake for govt institutions are closed now. if you never apply for IPTA or politeknik, then you have to wait for next intake, regardless of what course you want to study.
@poobalan, sir i wan now bout business field……….i apply edy 4 upu n politeknik………. sir can u explain wat benefit if i study business?pls explore me bout business……….
well, business programs means learning about how a business is set up, the management part, the marketing, sales, etc. it covers many area. if you study business admin or management, you can work as a management executive or admin and from there work to be a manager, CEO etc. you can also start your own business.
Hello,
My name is Raaman Nair and I am a former SPM 2009 candidate from SMK Bukit Jambul, Penang whereby I got straight 10A’s. I was called for the JPA interveiw for PILN 2010 and waiting for the results which I choose Astronomy to do in USA. I just wondering do know how is the A- level for the JPA scholar candidate and is the A- level same as the normal A- level (Cambridge A Level) or is there a different type of A-level for JPA scholar?
hi raaman,
a-levels are all same level. JPA scholars will be placed in local IPTA/IPTS to do the a-levels, before continuing studies in overseas.
hi sir….i got 2a(math and add math),5b(phy,che,bm,bi,pmo),,2c(sej and bio)….Can i study science subjects in stpm?because stpm is very difficult…
hi phyllis,
you can study STPM, but obviously have to double or triple your effort. stay focused, do group studies, refer to teachers often. nothing is impossible, so stay confident.
Hello,
I got straight 9A in SPM result and i interested in engineering but i really don’t know what to do until now..please help me.
hi zack,
you could continue form 6, or enrol in IPTS to do foundation or pre-uni program like A-levels.
After SPM, the result lead you to no way?
We have FREE course to offer for those feeling depress of SPM result.
You may browse our profile at Facebook – Max Human Capital.
before enrolling in programs related to MLVK or PSMB, pls make sure that you check with the authorities if got any complaints against the provider.
hi sir…
i wan 2 stdy diploma in eletric n elektronic..do u tink itz gud future?or gt any otha coarse sir?i wanna do smtg tat based on high skill ….any opinion sir?
hi revin,
its a good field of course, BUT, you must aim for the good result which is CGPA above 3.5 in order to secure good job or scholarships for continuing degree.
hi sir… im sittin for my spm examination diz year… i juz wanna noe wat results muz i get to do pharmacist… and if i wanna do forensic scientist, is der any college in m’sia providing diz course… den if i wanna work, muz i work for government n hw many years?
hi …,
pharmacy generally requires good results (min B) in subject like chemistry, math, physics, and add maths/bio. different college have slightly different requirements, but my advice, forget abt minimum requirements and just aim for A in all the critical subjects 🙂
forensic science is offered in uitm, so if you are malay or bumiputra, then can try there. there’s few private colleges offering this program. search in afterschool.my, mqa.gov.my or studymalaysia.com
if you do forensic science, i doubt can get job in private sector because there’s not much investigation done by them. so, better to stick with govt. if pharmacy, i think have to work 4 years for govt.

sir i finished my foundation in tesl in unisel. but i am not interested in teaching. what course can i do with my fonudation in tesl?
hi hema,
well, not many options left. your foundation is most likely not recognised by other uni/college. so the best option is to do degree in education, but work in different field like publication or language.
hi sir i m 2009 spm student, i would like to be a biochemist in my future.
so wat should i have in my spm result sir….
hi surya,
if you are 2009 student, then your results are out right? to be biochemist, you’ll need a strong credit in bio, chemistry, maths.
Hi sir,
I am a 2009 SPM leaver and currently doing my STPM,
My results is
A+ BM MORAL SEJARAH
A BI MATH CHEMISTRY BIOLOGY
A- PHYSIC BC ADD MATH
I intend to do dentistry and Is it advisible for me to take up physics instead of biology because the counsellor in my school told us that it is easier to score in physics than in biology. We can still enter dentistry in public U/ private U even we are from physics class. I am in a dilemma now because Dentistry really needs a very high pointer and Bio is such a hard subject to score. I need your advise. Thank you for your attention.
Hi Jennifer,
there’s different requirements for diff IPTA/IPTS. if check in UPU website, bio is required by both ukm and um. i’m not sure how your teacher said that. check yourself at:
https://online.mohe.gov.my/upu/emas/index_syarat.php?pagefunc=syaratByBidang&carian1=004&carian2=AS
if its tough to take bio now, are you sure can handle dentistry?
hai sir,i gt place in U..so,hw to apply for JPA scolarship..
kogi,
you will be briefed when you enter the uni. you also need to refer to the pejabat hal ehwal pelajar or the place where scholarship info is posted from time to time.
hi sir,
im 2009 SPM student n nw im wit my result…3a,2b,3c,2d..i got a’s in my maths,ad.science n science….nw im confused wether to take architectural course or electronic engineering course….so please help me to select one of the course based on the job vacancies n good salary….10q sir…
Sathia,
both architecture and electronic engineering are good fields and will offer a good career. question is, which field you like the most? how about the other science subjects like chemistry and physics? what was the results?
hi,sir…my spm is not so good…i got 2a,3b,2c,1d,1e and now i have start study at college that i really hate it so much. i do this because my parent force to take diploma instead of stpm. honestly,i can’t study because i heard a lot bad things about this college from the seniors and i also need to paid ptptn loan rm60000,after i graduate while other college is not so expensive like this college.i just thought that i want to quit from this college because they asking to much money and my parent can’t afford it. so,if i quit from this college can i entered form 6 even it’s too late? can the school take me,because it was already three week late? please,sir…help me…i always cry when i think about this problem….thank you sir.
hi rena,
i’m surprised to hear about your problem. why your parents enrolled you in that college that you don’t like? didn’t you guys discuss things first?
about taking stpm, are you really confident in doing well? you will need a minimum of 3Cs and overall result of 2.00 to apply for IPTA. I think you need at least 3Bs (including PA) to have good chance of getting a place in IPTA.
fees is subjective because the colleges may have their own facilities which may be better than other college, thus justifying their higher cost. didn’t you guys survey few colleges first?
you can try to enter form 6. if you know the school you were allocated to, you can talk to them directly. i think shouldn’t be a problem because some students who took PLKN entered form 6 about 1.5 weeks later. but you have lots of catching up to do, and also need to pay back PTPTN if you quit college to enter form 6.
Hi sir i was wondering, I am inspired to be a pilot but I am worried for what the subjects that I am taking isn’t qualified for it. Because I only took art stream with no physics or add math. So is there a chance to enter aviation schools in malaysia? By the way, my general science is good actually
pilotwannabe,
refer here: http://www.dca.gov.my/career/How_to_Be_a_Pilot.pdf
you need 5 credits in SPM with credit in English, mathematics and a science subject.
hi sir..
i’m doing my form 5 tis year(2010) and m a sci student.i want to be a pilot and juz to tell u tat my add maths and chemi is not very gud..

wat shud i do after spm??
wats the least results i shud get in my spm in order to be a pilot??
i dun noe y m writing tiz but i really need a guidance..
m so blurr..i dun noe wat to do after spm..
plz help me sir..
hi,
its not a big problem actually. firstly, refer to the official source: http://www.dca.gov.my which is the dept of civil aviation. they have guideline on becoming pilot.
in order to be a pilot, you need to take the pilot license after spm. that’s all. usually, 5credits will do especially english, science and maths subjects. No need A.
the problem is if you are looking for scholarship for pilot, which is very very rare because only airlines would offer, and even then seldom happens.
if you want to study overseas, then you should refer to the agents who provide links/placements in those countries.
hello sir
i’ve got 4A’S for my spm in 2009..
bm= A-
MATHS=A
BI=A
MORAL=A
with this result do i eligible to go into banking line…
what should i do..??
omijen,
by banking line, meaning you want to study a degree or diploma in banking/finance/accounting/business admin etc.?
if diploma, you can enrol in any IPTS and continue studies. if degree, then you have to either take foundation program or do pre-u program like stpm/a-levels etc.
you are eligble since you have more than 3 credits (to do diploma) or 5 credits to do foundation programs.
how is the results of the other subjects?
sir im form 5 student tiz year,
would kindly need ur guidenz about my planz after spm…i plan to do a leves in talyors and then my degree at oversease 4 pharmacy….my bio is nt so good but im trying my best at least 7A’s in my trial.plz give me advise wat should i do…but hw if i wan do futhers studies at oversease..?
Riya,
sounds like you already have a good plan.
to do a-levels, the number of As is not important (unless you are aiming for scholarship). as long as you get minimum B for BM, Math, Eng, and science subjects, its enough.
if you want to study or local, the procedure is the same. after SPM, you must take up a pre-uni program like stpm/a-levels/canadian pre-u/ausmat etc. OR do a foundation course. doing foundation course may limit your options to certain uni only, while doing pre-uni program will give the widest possible options.
hello sir…im currently doin my foundation in TESL at UNISEL…I wna pursue my degree at oversea….can you pls guide me sir???
hi ramnath.
firstly, find out if your foundation is recognised by other universities. you can do this in two ways: (i) ask unisel for a list of other universities that will accept the foundation results, and ask your target university if they recognise your foundation results.
secondly, if your foundation if recognised, then you can proceed to apply to the overseas university using your foundation results. usually, you will apply to few universities and see which can offer you the best option. in most cases, the university website will have details on how you as a foreign student can submit application.
third, you should find out the requirements needed to go overseas like visa, finance etc.
fourth, you should ask the university about the scholarships they offer or that they can link you to. ensure you have good results, of course.
Hi sir,
I would like to ask regarding to enroll to any college with my subjects.
ENGLISH
MODERN MATHS
GENERAL SCIENCE
HISTORY
BAHASA MELAYU
PERDAGANGAN
ARTS
Can these subjects above able to enroll for Mechanical Engineering Courses of any colleges?
Your prompt response is greatly appreciated.
hi brandon,
as you may have known by now, since you didn’t take science subjects, you can’t enrol in engineering program. you have to be careful if any college promises that you can. your admission may not be recognised later and you end up wasted time studying.
Hi sir i’m in a really complicated situation.
I took the spm 2009 and got 4 credits for my forecast, i took up ausmat but i didnt get the required results to continue, so i stopped and am now doing a diploma. I got 2a’s in my spm and the rest are all Lulus atas. College said i needed 3 credits to continue the diploma so i took appealed and took the spmu 2010 but still they didnt change my bm and math mark (lulus atas). I’m already 1 semester into my course and i fear if they dont allow me to continue all my money will be wasted. I scored 2 a’s, 1b and 1c + for my first sem finals so im hoping they will let me stay on merit. Please say you have a solution. thanks
hi wong,
the rules are strict. you need 3 credits for a diploma program. the alternative is to take up a certificate and then continue diploma. The college may try “work around” but ultimately, if the ministry finds out, you and college will be in trouble. i suggest you retake SPM for the papers that you can aim for a credit. worse case, you can postpone the diploma program and settle the spm paper first, and then continue the diploma. in this way, your money and time won’t be wasted. talk to the college first to get some idea.
Hi poobalan, is it possible for them to find out? Is it possible to continue the diploma but in the meantime i register for the spm ulangan 2011 june paper for Bm only balance both ? I just need to talk to them to postpone my conditional offer right? that way i can do both
wong,
the possibility is always there. up to you if want to take the risk.
as for continuing diploma while trying to get that one more credit, it depends on the college. if u fail to get the credit, then your money gone. u have to get the credit in order to get your diploma.
