Teaching is a passion that need to continuously be recharged. Its a calling that only selected few can fulfill. Its a energy sapping endeavour of which pre-requisites are lots of patience and willingness to listen.
Its a thankless vocation at times, getting brickbrats from parents and the public. But its the one title that elicits respect and admiration from many.
May you continue to teach well !

THE prank may have been mean but M. Thavasothy Pillai, who is blind, took his Teachers Day joke in good faith. On that day some years back, the SMK Taman Petaling class that Thavasothy was about to teach had switched with a class next door to fool the 56-year-old.

Samy quiet on MIC joining Pakatan

Most likely some of their leader were approached by Pakatan Rakyat leaders, especially those who are against Samy Vellu or don’t see a future in MIC.
As for the rebranding exercise, obviously it would not involve the leadership. Everything will be changed from uniform to ethics, but the person at top remain the same. More than 60 days already, and nothing much had changed.
Another issue is the comments by Alex, the Klang MIC division chairman who branded (wow…branding exercise, i guess!) Samy Vellu a “dictator” among others, which prompted some CWC members to ask for his sacking. Nijhar who disagreed left the meeting. Nijhar is just counting his days as his place will be taken over and he would be soon forgotten. Better to leave than to suffer humiliation. » Read more: Samy quiet on MIC joining Pakatan

As for the links to terrorists, even if one person said so, what about the rest? As far as I remember, there was no statement that said one of them would “use the tactics of the Tamil Tigers”. When was this statement made?
But if the reason is due to the “speeches which were racist in nature and violated the Federal Constitution”, then I guess Kamunting won’t be enough. Many politicians will be behind bars based on what they say during their general assemblies and political speeches. May 15th, 2008 | Subscribe in a reader | Subscribe to poobalan.com by Email This was one of the hot topic in Kapar, something that MP at that time, MIC’s Komala could not solve. Pre-election, it was a foregone conclusion that the Indian votes will go to current ruling state government.
Whatever it is, justice should be served. The folks who toiled the land should have been given a chance to own it first. Their curses will not let the families who took over the land to have a happy life.
I remember the folks even demonstrated, but were threatened with arrest. In fact legal action were taken against the TOL holders. However, Malay Mail and Sun highlighted this issue quite prominently, creating awareness among the public.
