This makes him the 4 assemblyman to have HR as a portfolio, after Negeri Sembilan, Johor and Penang. Malacca, Kedah, and Selangor EXCO don’t handle HR.

As it went, in the end only ONE Indian was sworn in on Saturday – Sivanesan from DAP. Both Sivakumar and Sivasubramaniam were left with wishful thinking only. But what irritates me is that the idea of seat being allocated by race. DAP allocates 2 seats for Indians, and the balance 4 for Chinese, says a “high-ranking insider”. Why not pick the best 6 for the job? Of course it is heartening to know that Indians are finally being given chance to serve the state/country at a higher level, but I hope these guys do the job well and not spoil the community’s name. » Read more: 3 Indians in Perak EXCO?
