finally, something that appeared on mainstream media (the NST) about the memorandum by HINDRAF. Just some hot air and no facts as usual 🙂
Samy Vellu hits back at Hindu Rights Action Force

PUTRAJAYA, FRI:
MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu today launched a stinging attack against a non-governmental organisation, the Hindu Rights Action Force (HINDRAF), which claimed that the Barisan Nasional (BN) government had done little to address the woes of the Malaysian Indian community over the last 50 years.
“I must state here that if there is anything that affects the Indian community, the MIC will be there to fight it out even when we are partners of the Barisan Nasional. To me, I have never remained idle and I don’t waste time,” Samy Vellu, who is also Works Minister, told Bernama today.
The MIC supremo was asked to comment on a 18-point memorandum by HINDRAF, which was handed to the Prime Minister’s office last Sunday by the organisation’s chairman P. Waytha Moorthy, secretary V.K Regu and its legal adviser P. Uthayakumar.
Apart from stating that the Indian community was marginalised by the BN government, in the memorandum, HINDRAF also wanted an end to special privileges given to Malays. The memorandum also took a dig at Umno asking the largest political party in the country to “stop playing politics” through the “mandore” (supervisor) system by dishing out aid to the Indian community on a piecemeal basis.
My 2 cents oppinion to all Hindraf supporters.
Could it be more effectives if every Temple garner supporters/devotess all over Malaysia do a mass fasting rally. Call all devotees to do fasting and demand the goverment to come to terms with Hindraf to an amicable solution for all Indian Issues. Do it for 3 days or whatever, its more dramatic, rather than hooliganism. Others fellow Malaysian will sympatized and support. But damage has been done, hooliganism has taken place, petition handed over, so many Malayian anoyed and piss off with Hindraf. Maybe it was Hindraf objective to damage the Malaysian Indian future in Malaysia, opposition has manipulated them.
Can some pro MIC person explain what has been done for the Indians in Malaysia to come up?
I’ve never cheered for anything done by MIC, so just wondering if I had missed out on anything in my growing up years. :s
Thank you in advance.
Dear edwin,
“kamal…i never said i was a citizen of MALAYSIA !!…please get your facts right !!…for kuno people like you, think that the internet is only accessable in malaysia..please go educate yourself first !!”
You are one clasic case of inferiority complex, you are not even Malaysian and you dare to comment whats going on in Malaysia. Please leave it to Malaysian for Malaysia domestic matters. Please maddle with your own business, “Jangan Jaga Tepi Kain Orang” !
Dear InFullSuport,
I don’t think so any pro MIC will ellaborate in specific details what MIC has done and achieve for Malaysian Indian. Simply because, it will create disatisfaction to other races in Malaysia to know so much things has been done for the Indians knowing the fact that they only 8% of the population. You’re not close to your community, to your leader, to the party that represent Indian interest in Malayia, be close to know the detail. What wrong with them, that many Indian prejudice towards MIC. I don’t know, maybe you all are not united and selfish. Maybe you all like to get excited to have Tamil hero like Hindraf key leaders. Maybe you all like to be “Menang Sorak Kampung Tergadai” !
Dear sir/madam
Malaysian Indians been brought to Malaya for reasons that we know…. OK… but when we came here our grandparents and our parents have worked very hard for the future of Malaya. But those Indian who came here on their own had made money and never treated this country as their own…
We Malaysian Indian did. So why HINDRAF and majority of right thinking Malaysian Indians fighting for…
1. Government Education Policies favorable towards only the Malays.
2. Governments failure to integrate the different races and religion. The Indians in the Estate were kept away from the Urban community. Oppressed and suppressed.
3. MIC failed to listen and draw up a plan to help the poor Indian communities throughout the country….
4. MIC and UMNO led BN had not properly plan to change the mind set of the younger and the future Indian communities from the estates. They were left in isolation and live in their own world. Marriages not registered and children don’t have birth certificates. They only will take action when it is highlighted over media.
5. Send our children to national schools, during the assembly the Muslims will pray.. and our children at very young age expose to all this it’s ok if the get excellent education… but here we don’t. Malay children are placed in good classes and our children will be placed in the inferior class. Unacceptable reasons given.
6. TNB 1990’s circuit breakers tripped in one of the major sub station a Malay engineer was in charge but he put the blame on the junior Malaysian Indian engineer who just graduated from England and he resigned. There are other Malay engineers come to work and finish their sleeping hours in the office because they disagree with their bosses… and their work must be completed by the non Malays….
I can go on ad on…… we all know this but we ignored it… and continued to vote for UMNO lead BN.
HINDRAF it’s because of you this country iwill set it’s priorities right and treat all of us equally… and lean to respect other religion too. It is not only the breaking of the Hindu temples that we are concern what happen to our Mount Everest climber, the incident in front of the Catholic church in Silibin Ipoh, you gave a factory lot to build a Catholic church and many more. We will not be quite anymore….
To all the fools made comments against HINDRAF…. let me ask you will be brave enough to go against the government and the MIC gangsters and the ever brutal police and ever intimidating UMNO? HINDRAF did you should lead this country. And NOT this cowards that we have in Government.
If you give me 1 million and ask me to go to India I will go. Why not…. have you been to India. I’m sure I can make that 1 million into 100 million. But our Felda friend got 1 million and gave it all to the Chinese…..
Finally…. “if you do good… good thing will happen” but if government policies has hidden “agenda” do you think this country will prosper as it should…..
ramya74,
Hope you noticed that meritocracy had been implemented for several years already.
Re: oppositions, they’re too SELFISH to think objectively for the entire nation – they’re effective to continue sit on the opposition bench at Parliment.
They have yet to bring & show Malaysians something smart that involves the entire Nation & not just their only Tiny Little SELFISH agenda.
So, as far as the Current set of OLD-style politicking oppositions (ie. ONLY Using Sensitive issues like race & religion), they would simply be like “Berok Dapat Bunga” if they ever won bigger in Malaysia!.. Greedily open up to MORE Selfish Outsiders who knows NOTHING about Our “Family Way” of handling issues.
Until a professional & NOT emotional opposition party comes up, Barisan Nasional is still Malaysia’s best bet! As it has proven to ALL Malaysians for more than FIFTY YEARS already.
ajax,
The Malay civilizations are not Indian. After many failed attempts, the Cholas from India only managed to capture Kedah for 20 years (I think in 800 something AD)! & that is about it.
The rest were all locals/Malay of this Nusantara Area (Malay Peninsular, Indo-China (ie.Southern Thai, South-East Myanmar, Kemboja, Laos, Vietnam); & the islands around (ie. Philippines & Indonesia)).
The Malays were influenced by the Indian ways thru religion (Buddhism – since 500AD in Palembang), just like how they were influenced by the Arabs’ ways/words (since 1100AD in Acheh).
Tun Dr. M is half Malay, half-mamak (Indian Muslim).
John,
You’re very right!
Prakash,
Yes, until the SELFISH oppositions are smart & think of other issues Besides race & religion, then, they’d have a chance!..
& Yes, the whole world is watching how ridiculously unbelievable hindraf is.
Tuah67,
Good points!
& Edwin, mind your own business – it’s worse in India & Sri Lanka.
Mahatri,
Estate workers were placed far away as the Rubber Plantations were far away. It was during the British era that the Indian coolies were oppressed & suppressed in there.
In the ’40/’50s, after WW2, many Indians left the estates & mingle FREELY with the kampung folks, ie. the Malays &, being accepted as Humans.. not like when they were in India.
Please have your Facts & Timelibe correct!!
Pablo,
True, I like your posting that I’m quoting it again:

Thank you”.
Thank you & Peace, “Gandhi”.
Dear tuah67,
If you have a valid point, why do you need 40 years to help the malays by gov as told my Najib? Is it fair to just give special threat to Malays and leave the others out.Come on when you said about the fairness why you need 40 years. You can help each other. Why you spend 95 million plus to sent a 1 person to space when you can put teh money to help the people. Can you ans this and why the comments come from peopel “Saya bangga org islam pergi ke angkasa” why ? why ? why can’t people just say .. we are proud a malaysian went to space? Can you explain to me why the Malays talking in such manner. I am Malaysian Indian for your information.
Hi Killer,
Bring it on. I am open for debate. Lets debate…..
🙂
Dear Mahatri,
I believe you don’t stand your feet on the ground as is you have all the answers to current challenges facing by Malaysian and the Government. Don’t use presumptious analogy. Understand the numbers in the reality of humanbeing. Easy said then done, how many will of those Felda friend you know of gave it all chinese. Majority choose BN because they are serious in nation building and only strong goverment can bring about progress, stages by stages. 50years goes by, and lot of progress, the stability and sharing power in goevernance has build the nation to strong footing for more progress and balance development. Even all the seats opposition won in next election or any other past election, the weak coalition opposition front will not able to form a strong goverment. Thats the reality, whatever Hindraf is fighting for shouldn’t resort to hooliganism. It bring more harm than good. They ignites the racial sentimen, like “api dalam sekam”, it will grow bigger and quitely. At this juncture, after 50years, so much progress, still much more to further. But, if racial sentimen persist to grow, it can turnaround back 51 years in 1 day. Extremist exist in any part of the globe, in any community, no goverment can change their mindset, however they are minority. But, their believe and approach towards racial sentimen is dangerous. Malaysia has experienced and witness 13th Mei, the face of racial extremist is very ugly. Opposition manupulated Hindraf such a way because they are not responsible and accountable lots. They do it because they know the goverment is strong and capable of defusing any curcumstances. But, the reality of all the effort that has been put to be at current state of stability, racial harmony, religion toleration, balance wealth distribution, eventhough much more improvement is needed, are useless due to Hindraf irresponsible act. Hindraf manipulate Malaysian Indian, for opposition agenda. All the points you trying to justify is not 100% true. Put in broad picture, of the total population, statistical accuracy, it could be only close to less than 10%. Should we sacrifice the 90% for 10%, the answer is NO, we should focus to reduce the 10%. malaysian that has good education and financial, please get involved with nation building. Participates in community/society activity, find out more about your communuity plight. Use your circle of influence to help them, or channel them to those able to help them. Not ignites their emotion for wrong reason and approach. Please read entirely what Hindraf wrote in their petition, relate it to their approach in demonstrating openly and violently disregarding others Malaysian majority sensitivity. I don’t think it bring more good than harm/damage. Malaysia can only progress with strong goverment and progress in stability for every Malaysian benefits towards progressing for better the future.
MP: Edited.
RESPECT THE LAW AND SYSTEM.
SEE BACK YER ROOTS AND WHERE ARE YOU CAME FROM!
GO BACK HOME! GO BACK TO YOUR GRANDPAPA COUNTRY!
THIS IS “TANAH MELAYU” @ MALAYLAND OF MALAYPOWER!
I DECLARE A WAR! HINDRAF IS A STUPID MORON OF NGO!
I LOVE MALAYSIA. AND MALAYSIA IS BELONG TO ME!
**** YER MEMORANDUM! **** YER PROPAGANDA!
THIS IS WHAT I CALL “MALAYSIA IS MALAYPOWER RIGHT!
REMEMBER YOU ARE STILL IN MALAYSIA!
DON’T SPREAD THE ****** RACIST IDEALOGY IN MY BELOVED COUNTRY!
JUST KEEP THE HINDRAF IN INTERNAL SECURITY ACT!
**** hindraf! **** YOUR REVOLUTION!
All please stop mongering about the past, there must be strong and rational reason Malaysia leadership agreed to such Social Contract. What important is the future, event take place nowadays will worsen Malaysian future. Progress in equal right can only be achieve step by step. We are just age 50years compare to America many hundreds years. Our complexity consist of multi culture, multi racial, and multi religion. We need to turn weaknesses to strength, rather turn strength to weaknesses. For example on TAX, implement tax calculation based on wealth standing and income. Our wealth distribution is unfair, so to speak rich people enjoy the same previlage as poor people, hence they should be contributing more to the country income. There are so many scenario of weaknesses that we can turn it around to the poor people advantage. Maybe I good suggestion is, establish a racial equality fund, whereby every under previlage people regardless race can apply from the fund to improve their financial. The richer the Malay or Chinese or ect, they will have to contribute more. It okay for them be rich, but please help the poor people, because if they left marginalise, they will resort to demo, hooligan, and so on. Lets turn the situiation that we are currently facing now to masses advantage. I just put 10 minutes of thinking to come out with this ideas, what if many hours of inteligent brain from you all bloggers. Think positive, than positive ideas will come, positive action plan, positive execution, positive results, and lastly better futures.
Lets serve the country, for betterment of our lovely country. Hence, we can contribute through active participation in our community, in NGO, in political party, in Goverment, in Religion Organization, but not in illegal and violent demo, not through petition to foreign country inviting them to intervene. Lets put forward proposal of People Equality Fund (PEF) to Goverment. Lets put our ideas, positive ideas, all possible weaknesses that we can turn to strength. No more cursing, racial and personal attack. Lets put it to stop, turn our own weaknesses to strength. Our disatisfaction and frustration into good proposal for benefits of all marginalised people.
cheers !!!
MP: about the law, its Syariah law that says a muslim can have 4 wives at a time.
Dear tuah67,
You have not answer my question or you did’t explain why Malays need 40 years to come up in life? While the other races was not given the same rights? Please comment on this? Do you think Malays contribute to Tax ?yes they do by the getting discounts for number of kids they have number of kids they have and what law is allow a single Men to marry four womens? If you want to think positif please turn back and see the crowd…i assume that most of people will agree that why diffrend law is being applied for Malays?
Mahatri,
Correction/typo error: “Please have your Facts & Timeli’N’e correct!!”.
Peace, “Gandhi”.
specially dedicated to malay power,
what a hell of malay power u are talking about?what is the rights you have in saying that malaysia belongs to you?by right its belongs to orang asli.look back at history.i guess you failed history man!who are you to ask us to be back to india?hei who are you first of all? damit!the word ‘tanah melayu’ is no more in use lah.its malaysia.i’m born in malaysia too.who are you idiot to ask us o get rid of malaysia?do you know the reason people having identification card (ic)?stop talking rubbish.we are figthing for our rights.you are not entitled to intervene in this issue.just sit and watch our force.no matter which god we are praying to, every religion in this universe teaches good values and to eliminate evils.as clild of god i stongly beleive that will always be fair.we will win.
Dear Nuke,
You are so naive and too emotional. Understand the geopolitic of Malaysia, learn history, analysed numbers in broader perspectives. Its pointless debating with you on religion ground, you will not understand, the same as I don’t understand why you have so many GODs in so many forms of figures. Shall we go on questioning others religious believe. It will never end. I’ve turn 360% not just turn back. The facts that you divert your points of arguments shows how naive you are as Malaysian. As I said those are Social Contract agreed at that point of time. If Malaysian felt now the time to change, then so be it, but it has to be collectives agreement. It has to be table in Parlimen. Do you know how many Malay race reps in Parlimen, do you think they will vote for changes. They will only consider to uplift the previlage if majority malays are in support to that idea. So be polite with fellow Malaysian Malay, be respectfull to their plight too, they are the majority, what else you want to argue. World are rule by numbers, democracy depend on numbers of votes. No matter how loud, how rude, how gangster you are, the fact remains.
I do not condone violence, hooliganism, and vandalism in any shape or form and am not 100% in agreement with HINDRAF but I can certainly understand the level of frustration that has resulted in the chain of events that led up to the demonstrations. HINDRAF is only the beginning. Yes there were some thugs and idiots whose actions did not help their cause and this is to be expected but rest assured there will be more dissent and more unrest in time. I am not trying to paint a negative picture, I am merely stating the obvious and I am not trying to get every Malaysian to “think like I do”. The average Malaysian now is a lot more sophisticated and can think for him and herself now although a lot of us are also less polite than his or her grandparent 🙂 All I am saying is that if the majority of Malaysians wanted all those changes to take place, it would have taken place a long time ago. It takes a mindset, common goals and values among other things to get people to unite. To think that all Malaysians were truly united all this time for the past 50 years is wishful thinking. We were mostly “united” because of a fear of racial riots and communism. After the Emergency, the political make up of the country at the federal level was pretty much very consistent and the perception that was created and in place was that every community for the most part was content. There was no question that that there were inequalities in place and “Mr and Mrs Average Malaysian” lived with it and only spoke about it behind closed doors. Yes there were some individuals who tried to make a difference for the average Malaysian but every time this individual stood out, he was hammered down like a nail. Same goes for people who say, go through the process of creating an opposition political party and so on and so forth. I reiterate again that there are already way too many corrupt politicians in power. Take Sabah for example. Over the past 20 years, a bunch of corrupt politicians was replaced by another bunch of the same in a never ending cycle. There were several opposition parties but greed and corruption prevailed. What can you do about that? I would say the Sabahans got what they deserved because they let it happen or were not actively interested in making a real difference.
For the most part, the federal politicians who are in power now expect the common man to blindly believe what they say, patronizing and lecturing to us as if we are children. They tell us to wait, they tell us to have faith in them, but they essentially do not do anything. How much longer do they think they can dupe us? Malaysia is like a pot of boiling water right now, the lid is clattering, the steam is coming out. When you try to clamp down the lid, the pressure only builds up more. Giving token concessions here and there will not resolve the issue. History has shown that time and time again. The fact is that it is time for more changes and more of us are finally beginning to do something about it. Malaysia is still growing, and there are some growing pains. No pain, no gain!

275 juta rakyat lndia hidup dalam kedaifan
NEW DELHI 4 Dis.

Some news especially for you, posted below.
Strange, I thought those people who gathered at Batu Caves were “peace-loving Hindus” and not some murderous thugs…Those people who had been blindly denying the rowdy behaviour of the crowd at Batu Caves have the excellent chance to see what really happened.
BTW three of the lawyers from Bar Council quit in disgust because of the idiotic and racist behaviour of Uthayakumar….
People wake up….see the real face of HINDRAF.
Hindraf rally: 26 charged with attempted murder for attack on cop
By A. Hafiz Yatim and V. Shankar Ganesh
05 December, 2007
SHAH ALAM: In the strongest move yet against supporters of the Hindu Rights Action Front (Hindraf), 26 of them were yesterday charged with attempted murder. This comes a week after they were charged with illegal assembly and rioting at the Selayang court.
All the accused, between the ages of 18 and 45, were picked up by the police from their homes in the Klang Valley and Perak, as early as 2am yesterday.
They were brought to the Shah Alam Sessions Court yesterday at 3.20pm in two police lorries.
Out of the 26, 10 were also charged with illegal assembly.
Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail led the prosecution. Also in the team was the head of prosecution in the A-G’s Chambers, Datuk Yusof Zainal Abiden.
All 26 were jointly charged with using criminal force against a policeman, Dedi Abd Rani.
They were also charged with causing disturbances by damaging seven vehicles – two Proton Wiras, Proton Waja, Kia Pregio, Perodua Rusa, Toyota Hiace and Rover Defender.
Both offences took place in front of the Sri Subramaniam temple at Jalan Besar, Batu Caves, between 1am and 8am on Nov 25, 2007.
The 26 were said to be part of an illegal assembly which was waiting to join up with other Hindraf supporters at a rally later in the day at Jalan Ampang.
For the charge of attempted murder, the accused face a maximum 20 years’ jail with fine, while for charge of causing mischief, they face a jail sentence not more than five years and a fine if convicted.
All claimed trial to the charges.
They were represented by a team of 17 lawyers led by G.K. Ganesan and M. Manoharan from the Bar Council.
Manoharan also informed the court that none of the 26 accused was given food or drink when the police picked them up from their homes.
There was also a shouting match during proceedings when Manoharan submitted the attendance of Abdul Gani may intimidate Sessions Court judge Azimah Omar who was hearing the case.
Abdul Gani said the defence should not make this an issue and also not insinuate that race was an issue.
Azimah assured Manoharan she was undaunted by Abdul Gani’s presence and that she was only interested in seeing that justice was done.
Abdul Gani objected to bail as the offence for attempted murder and causing mischief were non-bailable.
Ganesan said the defence was not prepared to submit on the issue of bail and asked that the matter be heard today.
Manoharan pointed out that there were irregularities to the charges framed by the prosecution, but was unprepared to submit on the matter and asked for a postponement.
Azimah allowed the matter to be heard today while the accused remain under detention.
Before proceedings ended, there was a tiff among the defence lawyers when P. Uthayakumar (legal adviser to Hindraf) told the court that the charges were malicious and that the Indian community was being persecuted while no such treatment was dished out to supporters of the coalition for clean and fair elections, known as Bersih.
Supporters of Bersih held a rally on Nov 10 before presenting a memorandum to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
At this juncture, lawyer Jaspal Singh, stood up and told the court that he did not agree with Uthayakumar’s argument and he was discharging himself from this case.
He alleged that Uthayakumar was causing more problems for all 26 accused.
Jaspal left the court room followed by counsel Suraj Singh and Jaya Murugan.
Outside court, a Light Strike Force team was on standby as there was a large crowd of family members and friends who were denied entry.
No untoward incidents were reported.

tuah67,
You have proof that Ke-Tuanan melayu exist. You have said the people in parliment are Malays? And why is this because Malay want to rule. And why are you question hindu’s God which we have diffrend forms. You need to go back and study teh history my friend. Perhaphs stop telling other people to go back and study might be better if you start to study the history of hindu and the history of islam. Hindu does not have any restriction as how Islam has. I don’t wish to debate with you either as you are againts HINDRAF and who ever supports them. If the HINDRAF is a big lie…. lets so be it.. We rather die than being a marginalized by Malays. On last thing ….the kampung medan incident… why there is no report being publish until now? Malays will talk talk talk talk and will never enough even if the entire world help.
Tuah67,
It is time you shut-up and forget bout your pro-UMNO activities. We have only less then 3 million UMNO members playing crony and godfather in Malaysia. The whole world is looking at us now and seeing discrimination in Malaysia for the non-chinese. Even bumiputras that account for 16 million people but only less then 3 million people is joining UMNO. What happen to the rest of the 13 million malays?? So please Encik Tuah, not all malays support UMNO, there are a silent majority whom knows that UMNO is plundering the rakyat’s wealth. These are the 13 million non-UMNO melayu that knows very well that the UMNO cronies are taking the rakyat for a ride. And there are over 3 billion people around the world looking at us now, who is very well aware of racism in Malaysia. While Encik Tuah67 is showing off how great is UMNO, this blog is being access by millions of people worldwide via this internet and blog to see how stupid is Encik Tuah67’s baseless arguements. Do Encik Tuah67 realize that your unrational racist statements is being viewed by americans, japanese, australians, europeans and so forth??? So Encik Tuah67, it is time you stop talking about racism in Malaysia as this will effect foreign investments. If encik Tuah67 really love Malaysia then love the indians, malays and chinese irregardless of race, and treat all Malaysians as equal. Do Encik Tauh67 realize that over RM3 billion of rakyat’s taxpayers money have gone to building mosques?? Do you know how many mosques in Malaysian. Thousands rite??? Where did the govt find the money to build the mosques??? From the taxpayers money of course!!!!
Crzy Nuke,
Some food for thought …
I have received a comment from a fellow blogger @ pardeshi babu whom I believe to be an Indian National who has forwarded to me this article reproduced below in full which speaks about a ‘zillion reasons to escape from India’.
As a strong believer in listening to all sides when discussing an issue as important as the current state of affairs regarding the social upheaval taking place amongst our Malaysian Indian grassroots community, I hereby am sharing with you, my reader this letter unedited in content save for some correction of grammar and as it is for your reading pleasure and consideration.
This letter speaks about the actual scenario for Indians there in India’s State of Tamil Nadu and it touches on statistics, actualities and also the role of one of HINDRAF’s main leaders in the movement that has been and is promoting the goals and objectives of the RSS.
My respected fellow blogger and Malaysian politician Datuk Ron has also published this same letter in his blog.
We know that to be fair in sharing articles and viewpoints from all relevant sources, we must do our bit to let others get first hand information from differing views from within the nation and also as in this case from the Republic of India.
Being a global brotherhood and sisterhood of citizen journalism of Bloggers, we share what we deem to be of importance to all others who have it in them to do a spot of critical thinking and general assessment of socio-political-religious issues such as this.
A balanced and fair minded person who gets to learn about both sides of an issue will be able to exercise better judgment when it comes to making a stand or choice on such matters. May commonsense and rational thinking be the end result.
So, pardeshi babu, here’s fulfilling your wish.
Wonder if this particular letter would find it’s way to Malaysiakini?

An open letter to Malaysian Indians
I stand against any discrimination of any human being in any parts of the world. But when it comes to HINDRAF outrage in Malaysia there are some questions one should ask to Hindu Rights Action Force officials?
As an Indian, I believe ethnic Indians in Malaysia, still enjoy more rights than Indian citizens who are living in their own country.
Since the living standards of Malaysia is far much higher than in India, I agree that Hindus in Malaysia need a better deal.
As a community with migrant history, the majority of Malaysian Indians are Hindus while it also includes a minuscule Muslim, Christian and Sikh presence. The so called “Indian” heritage in Malaysia cannot be limited with just the Hindu minority in Malaysia.
Unlike Malaysia, discrimination against Indian citizens in India have a multitude of factors.
One is religion and the other is the caste factor.
After the British left in August 1947, the higher caste Hindu elite, has been effectively ruling the Indian nation for the past sixty years.
According to the Indian census of 2001, the total population was 1.028 billion.
Hindus numbered 827 million or 80.5 %.
About 25 per cent (24 million) of those Hindus belong to Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
About 40 per cent (400 million) are “Other Backward Castes”.
15 per cent belonging to the three upper castes.
Dominant group of Hindu nationalists come from the three upper castes who constitute about 10 per cent of the total Indian population but control the civil service and economy of India.
And thus the caste system virtually leaves lower caste Hindus in India to be an oppressed minority.
Considering the media manipulation techniques, time line and nature of the Hindu outrage in Malaysia, there are many reasons to believe that HINDRAF and Uthayakumar are closely associated with the RSS, a Hindu Taliban who have already spoiled India’s social fabric with fascist propaganda and communal riots.
RSS is the Hindu-supremacist organization that has fueled a rise in anti-Dalit, anti-Muslim, anti-Christian and anti-Sikh violence.
The former ruling party, the BJP is the political arm of the RSS and helped fascism to spread across the civil, defence and educational streams of the society.
The caste system and the fact that the government machinery is basically controlled by this Hindu-centric group means that violence against victims largely goes unpunished.
The man who killed Mahatma Gandhi in January 1948 for seeking conciliation with Minorities Nathuram Vinayak Godse, at one time belonged to the RSS.
That’s part of the Sangh’s legacy. And it has not only spawned the VHP, but numerous other radical organizations backing the RSS, notably the Shiv Sena (Shiva’s Army) party of Bal Thackeray, a self-declared Hitler fan.”
In the year 2005 alone, according to National Crime Records Bureau, 1,822,602 riots were reported in India.
Since Indian community issues in Malaysia is considered as a ‘Minority vs majority’ issue, let us compare the statistics of the Indian Muslims in India itself. Unlike Malaysian Hindus, Indian Muslims have not arrived from outside.
Recently, Justice Rajinder Sachar Committee report admitted that 138 Million Muslims across India are severely under-represented in government employment, including PSUs.
Ironically, West Bengal, a communist ruled state reported 0 (zero) percent of Muslims in higher positions in its PSUs.
A Muslim child attends school for three years and four months, compared to the national average of four years.
Less than two percent of the students at the elite Indian Institute of Technology comprise of the Muslim community.
Malaysian Indians are not the original inhabitants of the country, Indian Muslims are from the same racial and ethnic groups as their compatriots. And still they face discrimination in the world’s largest democracy called India. (Ref. Indian Express, The Missing Muslims)
Let us not forget the fact that, Malaysia’s ethnic Indians are mostly from the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, an impoverished land lagging with illiteracy and feudalism followed by Delhi’s north favored rule.
The traditional Hindu caste system compelled caste minorities to move even to Sri Lanka, where they are now in war with their own hosts, Sinhalese.
Do Tamil community in Malaysia want to do the same rebellion to their own host in Malaysia, the Malays?
Now, Indian workers form the third largest foreign work force in Malaysia, with 140,000 of them seeking out a living there.
Most of this migrant workers are the relatives of ethnic Indians who comprise 7% of Malaysia’s population of around 24 million.
By falsely claiming of “Ethnic cleansing against Hindus in Malaysia” , HINDRAF officials are working against the interests of India’s peaceful migrant community around the world.
Every year, more than 1 million Indian citizens leave their country to build better life.
Indians form about half of the 2.6 million expatriate workers in the United Arab Emirates’ private sector.
Migrated Hindus from India constitutes 1 million or 0.4 per cent of US population now. They have built around 1,000 Hindu temples throughout the US.
Now, what makes people move out of India?
Here are some Indian facts:
India accounts for 40 per cent of the world’s poor and its fiscal deficit is one of the highest in the world.
Almost half of Indian women are still illiterate;
About 40 million primary school-age children are not in school.
India ranks way down at 96 among 119 developing countries included in the Global Hunger Index (GHI). [Ref: IFPRI Country Report on India
In India, 16 percent of the population still remains and live with out having sustainable access to improved water resources
and there is a probability at birth for 15.3 percent of the population of not surviving to the age of 40.
34.7 percent of the Indian population live with an income below $ 1 a day and 79.9 percent below $ 2 a day.
According to the India’s planning commission report 26.1 percent of the populations live below the poverty line.
About 20 per cent, or 200 million, are religious minorities.
Muslims constitute 138 million or 13.4 per cent,
Christians 24 million or 2.3 per cent,
Sikhs 19 million or 2 per cent,
Buddhists 8 million or 0.8 per cent
and Jains 4 million or 0.4 per cent.
“Others” numbered 6.6 million or 0.6 per cent.
Christians provided education at all levels to other religious groups without prosyletisation. According to Tahir Mahmoud, an Indian Muslim journalist, “The 2.3 per cent Christians in the Indian population cater to 20 per cent of all primary education in India, 10 per cent of all the literacy and community health care, 25 per cent of all existing care of destitute and orphans, 30 per cent of all the handicapped, lepers and AIDS patients etc”.
According to the National Human Rights Commission, as on 30th June 2004, there were 3,32,112 prisoners in Indian jails out of which 2,39,146 were under trial prisoners. That’s more than 70 per cent.
India’s jails hold a disproportionate number of the country’s minority Muslims, a sign of discrimination and alienation from the Hindu majority.
Prison statistics of Indian Jails can be seen from National Crime Record Bureau, here
Hindu upper caste men, who constitute just eight per cent of the total population of India, hold over 70 per cent of the key posts across newsrooms in the country.
The so-called twice-born Hindu castes dominate 85 per cent key posts despite constituting just 16 per cent of the total population, while the intermediary castes a represent meager three per cent.
The Hindu Other Backward Class groups, who are 34 per cent of the total population, have a share of just four per cent in the Indian newsrooms.
Muslims, who constitute about 13 per cent of the population, control just 4 per cent top posts while Christians and Sikhs have a slightly better representation.
But the worst scenario emerges in the case of Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) : Based on CSDS study, 2006. Ref : The Hindu, June 05, 2006
India’s subordinate courts have a backlog of over 22 million cases while the 21 high courts and the Supreme Court have 3.5 million and 32,000 pending cases (2006)
There were 13 judges for every million people. Merely 7.8% Muslim employees working in Judicial sector of 12 high-Muslim population states surveyed by Sachar Panel.
According to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, India has the highest number of street children in the world.
There are no exact numbers, but conservative estimates suggest that about 18 million children live and labor in the streets of India’s urban centers.
Mumbai, Delhi and Calcutta each have an estimated street-children population of over 100,000.
The level of child malnutrition in India is among the highest in the world, higher even than some countries in sub-Saharan Africa, says the report ‘Extent of Chronic Hunger and Malnutrition in India’ by the UN’s special rapporteur on the right to food (2006).
Australia earned about 500 million Australian dollars from the export of educational services to India, when 93% of Indians never progress beyond secondary school!
Nearly nine out of 10 pregnant women aged between 15 and 49 years suffer from malnutrition and about half of all children (47%) under-five suffer from underweight and 21 percent of the populations are undernourished.
India alone has more undernourished people (204 million) than all of sub-Saharan Africa combined.
Nearly 20 percent of women dying in childbirth around the globe are Indians.
Six out of every 10 births take place at home and untrained people attend more than half of them. 44 per cent of the Indian girls were married before they reached the age of 18.
It added, 16 per cent of girls in the age group 15-19 years were already mothers or expecting their first child and that pregnancy is the leading cause of mortality in this age group.
According to the 2001 census, female literacy in India is 54.16 per cent against male literacy of 75.85 per cent.
Most of the working women remain outside the organised sector: A mere 2.3 per cent women are administrators and managers, and 20.5 per cent professional and technical workers.
Women to men ratio was feared to reach 20:80 by the year 2020 as female fetus killing is rampant.
Ten million girls have been killed by their parents in India in the past 20 years, either before they were born or immediately after, told Indian Minister for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury to Reuters.
According to the 2001 census, the national sex ratio was 933 girls to 1,000 boys, while in the worst-affected northern state of Punjab, it was 798 girls to 1,000 boys. The availability of ultrasound sex-determination tests leads to such mass killings in India.
Out of the 593 districts in India, 378 or 62.5 % are affected by human trafficking. In 2006, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) sponsored study by Shakti Vahini, found that domestic violence, illiteracy, unemployment, poverty, unsafe migration and child marriage are the major reasons for the increasing rate of illegal human trafficking.
95 % of the women in Madhya Pradesh in commercial sex are due to family traditions. So are 51.79 percent in Bihar,’ said the study.
While 43 percent of the total women trafficked are minors, 44 percent of the women are into flesh trade due to poverty. Of the total women who are into sex work in the country, 60 % are from the lower and backward class, which indicates the pathetic living condition of the communities.
In Madhya Pradesh, a political bastion of Hindu right wing party, 96.7 % of the women sex workers are from the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.
There are an estimated 40 million Hindu widows in India, the least fortunate of them shunned and stripped of the life they lived when they were married.
It’s believed that 15,000 widows live on the streets of Vrindavan, a city of about 55,000 in northern India.
India has 4 million prostitutes nationwide and 60% of the prostitutes are from the Scheduled Castes and Tribes or other backward caste.
UNAIDS says over 38% of those living with HIV in India are women.
Crime-politics nexus also influences the democracy in India. Most of the ministers in elected democratic governments are from criminal background.
They are entering into the political arena, influencing the decision-making at the highest level in their own favor and thereby increasing corruption through patron-client relationship.
The reason for this pervasive political corruption, in spite of five decades of democracy, is because we, in India, do not elect representatives but patrons.
The rich and the avaricious as well as the poor and the stricken, vote on this principle.
Lack of transparency within the bureaucracy is also another important factor responsible for promoting public corruption.
Upper caste Hindus — that is, Brahmins, Kshatriyas, and Vaishyas — constitute less than 20 per cent of the Indian population but controls the business and civil service sector of the country.
They claim perhaps 80 per cent of the jobs in the new economy, in sectors such as software, biotechnology, and hotel management.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau, only 31 per cent criminal trials are completed in less than a year. Some take even more than 10 years.
According to its study, Crime in India 2002, nearly 220,000 cases took more than 3 years to reach court, and about 25,600 exhausted 10 years before they were completed.
The term of the Liberhan Commission, formed 14 years ago to probe the demolition of the Babri mosque in Ayodhya and originally given a mandate of three months, has been extended again!
We are alarmed by the fact that even after 50 plus years of survival after independence from Britain,
every hour 2 Dalits are assaulted,
every day 3 Dalit women are raped,
everyday 2 Dalits are murdered,
everyday 2 Dalit houses are burnt down.
When it comes to Human Rights issues in India, it is not ratified the Convention against Torture, its citizens do not have the opportunity to find recourse in remedies that are available under international law.
The victims are trapped with the local Hindu caste system, which in every aspect militates against their rights.
Many victims conclude that a justice system accessible to the poor of the land does not exist at all.
The Human Development Report for 2007-08 released by the UNDP ranked India 128 out of 177 countries, working it out through measures of life expectancy, education and income.
Malaysia ranked 63 and listed at under High Human Development category.
The report found that India’s GDP per capita (purchasing power parity) is $3,452, far below Malaysia’s $10,882. Read the statistics from UNDP website
Since 1998 about 25 000 Indian farmers have committed suicide because they could not repay their debts.
These debts, however, have largely accumulated because these farmers were severely overcharged by their money-lenders asking for up to 32% of interest.
Do the ethnic Indians in Malaysia want to come back to India?
I bet none of them will come back to this sinking ship called, India.
Instead of asking for more rights they should come out of their caste system and narrowness.
Let them learn to respect their hosts, the Malaysian people who provided better opportunities than their “Shining India”.
Only such an attitude and kindness will bring them prosperity. Let them not forget the millions of impoverished Indian citizens living in their own country.

Remember that India, as a country cannot offer you food or job.
Tamil politicians are people with Dravidian origin and they have limited say in the controle of India’s central government which is ruled by majority Aryans.
TamilNadu is the bastion of opposing imposition of north Indian rule and its Hindi language in its territories.
South Indians mostly consider English as their national language than Hindi.
This north and south division has a long history in India and will continue to go on for ages, as long as people in India continue to remain emotionally myopic, narrow minded and accepting of propaganda and social myths.
In 1965, after a 15 year gap, Hindi was declared as the solitary national language of India.
This led to violent protests in Tamil Nadu and so many deaths of Tamilians.
The Hindu nationalist movement grew up in the 1920s with the establishment of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS )
The RSS gradually established a network of local branches that met daily for training sessions on martial arts, with ideological sermons making Indian identity synonymous with Hindu culture helped along by the motto “Hindu, Hindi, Hindustan” (one people, one language, one country).
In 1996, Inspired by Hindu myths, a Marathi Hindu mafia leader called Bal Thackeray floated ‘Shiv Sena’ a political party to drive out south Indians from the industrial city of Bombay.
Shiv Sena means Army of Shiva, ( referring to Hindu King, Shivaji) succeeded in its aim with the help of Hindu militants who unleashed several communal riots in the city.
In 1991, a Tamil Tiger suicide bomber killed India’s Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi ( A north Indian brahmin with aryan heritage) at an election rally outside Chennai. Those scars against Tamils are still run deep in north India, especially in a government dominated by Gandhi’s Italian-born widow Sonia.
When it comes to recording Indian history, the north of the country often ignores or overlooks events in the south. Tamils consider Vellore revolt is the first organized revolt against British in India, while Delhi officially consider it started with Sepoy Mutiny of 1857. Unlike north Indian Hindus, Tamils consider Lord Rama as the villain and Ravana as the hero. In such many ways, Tamil history and politics are in contradiction with India’s official version, which is in fact authored and promoted by Aryan north. The division within India’s caste maniacs are so deep and it cannot overcome to help anyone outside their circle.
Mr. P. Waytha Moorthy, the Chairman of Hindu Right Action Force in fact is the Malaysian representative of global ‘Hindutva’ alliance called Vishva Hindu Parishat.
He also works with RSS controlled Hindu charity institutions like Hindu America Foundation and UK based SEWA International.
Both of these organizations were involved in funding anti minority riots in India.
Hiring such a hate monger and ardent admirer of Aryan Hindu supremacy to solve issues of Malaysian Indians who are basically of dravidian origin will back fire soon.
Instead, Tamil Hindus should make way for peaceful dialogue with Malay organizations and concentrate more of their efforts for caste and poverty eradication.
The thoughts of Thanthai Periyar E.V. Ramaswamy should be their guide light, than the false propaganda war initiated by Hindutva and its militant mafia gang, RSS.

Dindage Says:
The assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, was carried out by Tamil terrorists from Sri Lanka while they are on visit in India. It proves that many Tamils don’t deserve a life in a peaceful country like Sri Lanka or Malaysia. The official records of Tamil Nadu Police Report also reveals this fact. In 2006, there was 1273 murders, 89 murder for gain, 95 dacoity, 450 robbery, 3300 burglary, 13651 theft. The total crimes reported was 18858!

2 As a Sri Lankan Sinhalese, I would ask my Malay friends to be very careful about this HINDRAF movement. They can get foreign support to harm your country from weapon producing nations. In early stages, Tamil Tigers received support from Israel and India. Now, we are fighting them with the support of the same countries because we buy weapons from them! Sri Lanka was very prosperous country before Tamils started problem here
Killer,
I think your nickname says it all. You have painted the Melayu and Bumiputra and malays as barbarians, triads and also lied bout the malays rights. Being a malay, I do not agree with your statement that HINDRAF is causing problems. The problems in Malaysia is caused by the ruling party although I agree with you that the ruling party consist of majority malays, but i do not agree that Bumiputras can do what they like. Please remember Killer, that your statements are being observed by people all around the world via the internet(unless our govt decides to ban internet in Malaysia). The more baseless and stupid remarks you make on racism, the more negative impact it will have on Malaysia. All Killer gotta do is say or declare “I love all Malaysians including Indians and Chinese and I do not support the govt if they practice racism and discrimination against other races!!!” that’s what the world want to hear!!!!!!!!!! Then, I can tell you that foreign investments will come to Malaysia and we will do better then Singapore.
Looks like the problem getting more delicate .. Hindraf is sure for something worse than bad, please don’t support Hindraf, support your Indian based political party and let them fight for you, for real prosperity rather than misconstrued fight with Hindraf ! you all are just 8%, stay united than you all have better chances !
dear MALAY POWER!
I am RajaKumar from Bangalore, New Delhi. Don’t let us see you malays in our country, we will promise you that we will sent you back to Malaysia minus what you did to our hindu race in Malaysia. Although we love your country called Malaysia, but do not use your islamic race to belittle other races. Otherwise, we can guarantee you and your malay race will not rest in peace in any other country which we have hindus around. So, please don’t think your malay race is the most powerful race in this planet, cause problems to our Hindu race in Malaysia, we will do the same to your race worldwide with all our overseas hindu brothers.
dear MALAY POWER!
Since your malay nation is so powerful, why dun you ask your army to invade China?? I am from China, Yunnan and have been looking at this Malaysian blog wif interest as my frenz are in Malaysia now and they gave me this hyperlink which is very funny. I hope Malay-Sia is very powerful and can stand up to USA, China or India but looks like the malay govt is showing off that your nation is above the law when you treat your chinese and indian people. I have many-many indian friends around the world is looking at your racist treatment of other races in Malaysia and for the last time i beg you and your malay triads not to bully the chinese, otherwise we will do the same to you when you meet up with our chinese brothers residing in other countries. Please be considerate and do not bully other races anymore and stop showing off your so call majority….Malaysians are only 27 million people while in China, we have 1 billion people and in india our indian frenz outnumber your malay people by 700 million. So, please do not behave like big brother in Malaysia. Also be careful with your racist remarks. Terima Kasih.
Boycott Batu Caves temple on Thaipusam
Truly Malaysian
Dec 5, 07 3:38pm Adjust font size:
I am a pretty sure that by now everyone knows what had actually transpired at Batu Caves on the wee morning of the Hindraf rally. Unless, of course, you are still reading the mainsteam media. I think everyone should boycott Batu Caves for Thaipusam next year. Allow me to explain.
History has taught us that any place of worship – be it a mosque, church, temple, synagogue or any other sanctuary – is always off-limits to any aggression or aggressor. The keeper of such places never takes the role of an instigator.
How and why were the authorities alerted to that gathering there? Naturally, the goons that run the temple have alerted them. We all know who these stooges are representing. The actions of the gatekeeper clearly shows us, the public, their biased stand as opposed to the neutrality that is expected of them.
If the temple’s gatekeeper has the audacity to create such a ruckus for the very people seeking solace in such a premise, then why should the public continue to enrich them, as when the temple rakes in millions of dollars during the festival season?
Thaipusam in Batu Caves attracts over a million of people both locals and tourists. The very people cornered on the rally day are patrons of this festival. The temple is a place of sanctity not a caged arena to unleash cruel and inhumane acts. There are thousands of temples in Malaysia to celebrate Thaipusam, the ones in Ipoh and Penang are fairly popular. Why not, for a change, the public reroute themselves to these other destinations next year?
After all, God is everywhere. As long as you believe, ritual does not really matter. So why don’t we break the ritual of attending Thaipusam in Batu Caves in the coming year to show that without the public, it would not be such a great festival there after all? Public solidarity is paramount in this symbolic effort to achieve the objectives and show that it is not easily quelled. Let’s hit them where it naturally hurts most – $$$.
MP: edited. errr…macam mana hang nak kenal siapa yang rasa pedas? tengok apa ye?
Ingat2 sikit india ***** yang suka kecoh2, jangan sampai 13 mei jadi balik, kami masih bersabar, tapi kalau dah pijak kepala kami, tungggggggggggggguuu akibat nya.. ingat pesanan ini ditujukan kepada india **** sahaja di malaysia, siapa makan cili rasa pedas.
hi Tuah67,
I am impress with your knowledge of India – most of the cases you stated is negative bout India. I am living in india as an expatriate and working in a multi-national company serving the top 5 billionaires in the world called Lakshmi Mittal the steel king. Mr.Mittal is worth RM38 billion and is world number 5 richest man in the world. I also been to Malaysia 20 years ago which is in 1987 as an expatriate and at that time I remember India as a very poor nation. But India today is much much diffirent from what it is 20 years ago. There’s currently 25 billionaires in India and another 9,689 millionaires in India base on Forbes statistics. As i am on holiday in Malaysia, I cannot see the same set of billionaires developed by Malaysia. In fact 20 years ago Malaysia is more advance then India but now India is also a nucklear powerhouse. In fact Malaysia have gone backward, 20 years ago, I hire a accounts clerk for RM600, today my international company is still hiring clerks at RM600 and many more intend to work as clerks. My Malaysian company have receive 2,000 over job applications via jobstreet to apply for only 1 position in our Malaysian office. I am interested to know really, have Malaysia been developed? I don’t think so. I have read that Proton which is own by Malaysia’s Khazanah have cancelled the Volkwagen investment interest when proton is not doing well. See. http://paultan.org/archives/2007/11/21/why-proton-volkswagen-was-a-no-go/
This is a shame to Malaysian govt when everything is about to turn positive for Proton, and they just make an emotional decision to cancel investment. In India, this does not happen. All investment is done with full due dilligence before making a decision. You see, Proton case will create a negative impact on your country Malaysia, that’s why most of the investment is going to China and India and this two countries is booming like nobody business. I hope the Malaysian govt can emulate this 2 countries in their appeal on foreign investment. Just to let you know, my Malaysian company will be pulling out of Malaysia and closing office and transferring our office to Singapore which provides a more stable investment option as these countries are not racist in nature. I will seriously consider investing again in Malaysia in future if your govt treat all Malaysians with equal opportunity. Please remove the NEP policy as it is slowly destroying your nation’s productivity. Most of my chinese business partners have move their operations out of Malaysia for the past 10 years, that’s why unemployment in Malaysia is increasing and this will not stop in 2007. I still love Malaysia as I have malay and indian friends but if your govt policy does not change for the better, I believe nations like Thailand and Philipines will overtake your economy in a few years time. Just to update you on India’s billionaire here’s the website :-
http://www.forbes.com/lists/results.jhtml?passListId=77&passYear=2004&passListType=Person&searchParameter1=&searchParameter2=&resultsStart=1&resultsHowMany=25&resultsSortProperties=%2Bnumberfield1%2C%2Bstringfield2&resultsSortCategoryName=Rank&passKeyword=&category1=category&category2=category
And here’s another website for your info :
http://www.forbes.com/2004/12/08/04indialand.html
So Tuah67, I think so much negative is said bout India but if you look at the good things in India, there’s a lot of better stuff compare to Malaysia. Most indians I have known are honest hardworking people, but not much is mentioned bout your Malaysian govt as hardworking and honest malays. This goes to show that your govt have breed a group of lazy rich bumiputras that are not successful in overseas. If you really want to compare your country, perhaps you should try to compare your country with your closest neighbour Singapore. The Singaporeans are hardworking and full of integrity when it comes to business arrangement. But it is not the same for Malaysian govt as in the case of Proton. Your govt does not have enough integrity to make Proton a global player. It is very unfortunate when Mr.Tuah67 tries to use India to compare with Malaysia, if Mr.Tuah67 really wants the malays to improve then you should try to compare the bumiputras with the Americans, Japanese, Chinese in China and also Singaporeans. Anyway, I have said so much in defence of India, India have more billionaires then in Malaysia. India currently have 25 billionaires while Malaysia have 8 billionaires and only one is a malay. So please dun compare India with Malaysia again, it is very shameful for you to do so, Mr. Tuah67.

MALAY POWER
Do you know your root! You are from indon/jawa…. and some even mongolia! Stop telling people to go back! And please be profesional!Try to say this in the crowd of 10 indians. You will be like sambal belacan!!!!
The message is loud and clear… for Malaysia to truly prosper and be more united, the first step is to get rid of self-serving corrupt politicians. They have manipulated Mr. and Mrs Average Malaysian for far too long. It makes no sense that a country like Malaysia with all its natural resources (including a pool of highly educated invididuals that are migrating to other countries) should lag behind so much economically. Corruption is a root cause of many of the problems in our country. This is not merely a Malay, or Indian. or Chinese problem. It affects us all in one way or another. We cannot afford to lose foreign investment opportunities. It is time for Malaysians to say enough is enough. Do we want the next generation and the following ones to lag behind the rest of the world?
Dear Ahmad Sanusi
If you are a Malay, then I am an Eskimo…ha ha..ha..
You attempt to pass off as a Malay is so transparent that even a child can see it through.
Please do not accuse me of saying anything bad about the other communities (be it Malays, Chinese, or others) for I did not even talk about them. I really wonder where did you get the comments…
And please don’t take me for a fool as your argument is so idiotic that it doesn’t even deserve a reply.
Dear Ivan Hamilton
I am someone who is far more knowledgeable abt India than you are about Malaysia.
It doesn’t matter how many billionaires India has. For a country of 1.2 Billion, having 25 billionaires is really something to be shameful. What matters is the number of poor people, please count them. I don’t have to tell you on how these gents became so rich (ie by ripping off the poor Indian people).
And do not talk about the issue of Proton without understanding the issue. There is a very good reason why the govt is not going ahead with VW.
The key is that none of your cars that you make can be compared to Proton’s quality or technology.
However, don’t get the wrong idea, I like and admire India for many things. I do hope that one day India can be as developed as Malaysia or the US even.
But India has some many problems that it is in no position to advise or reprimand Malaysia. The Indians in Malaysia are far luckier to be in this country than India.
Make no mistake we are in Malaysia still have a lot of problems to solve. But compared to India, our problems are miniscule.
Leave us alone to face our fights, just mind your own business. We don’t need your help.
we as malaysian must unite. see 1 example, Public Bank own by chinese. not your bumiputra neither indian.we don’t care about those privilages like ASN, ASB that bias to bumi. coz we have public mutual fund which is lot lot more better in terms of dividen given compared to those gov created ASB and ASN.u see how chinese are brilliant?no need to beg like indian.coz we believe in ourself. not a subsidy.discounted houses? we don’t care as well, even with the discounted price also Indian and Malays can’t afford to buy that house. who cares about those 25 billianaires in India, it is not your money anyway neither mine. might as well i find my own money to replace my 3 series to 5 series next year. BTW, i was scored flying colours in my SPM and yet i didn’t further study but focus on ‘cari makan’ to become like i’m today.education don’t meant anything to me now…..pls don’t mess around with riot. we chinese need to ‘cari makan’. please don’t kacau again laa…most of my customers are malays and indian. they are my friend too…
MP: Edited.
HINDRAF is hope for our indian community and as for Mr.Dato, time to scratch your peoples ****. A piece of advise to you… Just take the money you’ve made so far and screw off somewhere because this drama is going to get worst with some big shot victims in it. Spare the details…. your name is right on top. So, shut your @*#%ing gap and get lost.
dear gandhi,
i feel so sad calling you by this nick name. first of all do you know the meaning of Meritocracy???? read this:- “Meritocracy is a system of a government or another organization wherein appointments are made and responsibilities are given based on demonstrated ability (merit) and talent rather than by wealth (plutocracy), family connections (nepotism), class privilege, cronyism, popularity (as in democracy) or other historical determinants of social position and political power”.is this practiced in malaysia????for you info not a temple in kelantan was demolished by Pas after they took over WHY???? the government have pictured pas as a group like anti-non Malays. a group of terrorist. WHY??? people who are living there says diffrently.
all the debate here is comparing malaysia to India and china WHY???? they are getting the negative news from our media about this countries.
They think we’re better off then india or china?
a big laugh. even Tun Mahathir admitted that he has spoon fed the Malays until they can’t stand by themselves.
I’m not here to debate about what malays are and not.
As for your support for BN.. you say “Barisan Nasional is still Malaysia’s best bet! As it has proven to ALL Malaysians for more than FIFTY YEARS already”.
– so so say… the typical habit of a turtle hiding behind it’s shell when trouble comes.. no no i’m fine with what I have. don’t want to change afraid it might not be what I want.
– achievers are those who fight and are willing to face the consequences rather then being afraid of what the outcome will be. I’ll not comment on you anymore cause it stinks to call you with that nick name of that mahatma who stood with his chest open to those guns defending for the rights he believes in even if the consequences was giving up his life.
dear tunku67,
you said “ramya74, what such ignorance you are. Do you know WE constitutes of estimated 50%+ Malay, 30%+, 8%+ Indian, 11%+ Others.”
friend, are you still in 1957. you re talking about the constitution which was set 50 years back. look now. count the population man. I don’t think in 50 years and still be the 8%. it’s like a mother feeding her child 2oz of milk at birth and still feed her 2 oz when she/he is 50years old.
doesn’t make sense right. just like our government right. privilege for 8% population and still 8% after 50 years. that’s the root cause of the problem. do you know what happen to the 8% for the last 50 years:-
1958 to 1965 — 8% was indian allocated fund.. 1% for politition pocket, 2% for politisoin family pocket, 1% for family friends pocket not to forget 2 % for politision small house (china vedu’s) pocket. the balance
the balance 2% for lucky pick public.
then the same when on but as time flies the public grew more and people started asking. no
the balance of 2% that’s really coming to us is not enough.
That’s what hindraf is asking.
you claim your self not a malaysian nor a malay then what are you tuah67. sorry I mentioned you nickname wrongly when I addressed you earlier. you’re so shame to say the truth about yourself then why be in this blog to comment on others???
so stop commenting about others are trying to Jaga tepi kain orang and ask yourself first whose kain your trying to jaga.
Mr Ivan Hamilton… you’re the man of thousand word. well said about Malaysian governments NEP policy and your comment on India’s progress. very true indeed. in a few years time I don’t think there’ll be enough money in this country to feed anyone if this goes on. all this is because people have been afraid of changes. all the time BN won because everyone is hiding behind the wall of life is good here compare to other place. never once they felt like coming out of the shell to really look at the world and the progress it has achieve.
then look back you’re see the difference.
it’s also true that an average pay for a clerk was RM600 20years back and now it’s same or lower. job market here is like a group of monkeys fighting for one banana.
I have walked out of my shell and so have so many of us. we can see the difference. for those who are talking well hidden behind your so called only known under shell world pls come out if not keep quite and stay where you are. don’t jerk ur head like a turtle for a quick incomplete look and make irrational comment.
hurry for all those who is out of the shell.
Mr Ivan
You have brought out so many valid points and it is this very typical mentality of the UMNO Malays that perturbs me..They will only compare their might & success against the marginalised & the weak. They don’t compare an apple with an apple… If they wish to compare or use another nation as a yardstick for their success. They should do it with a nation that demostartes similiar historical, cultural & political backgorunds..The best candidate would be SINGAPORE..She gain independence at the same time, has similiar ethnic social stratas..But where SINGAPORE standing in economy compare to MALAYSIA. In fact, we need the likes of SINGAPOREANS such as TONY FERNANDEZ to save AIRASIA.
Indiangirl… you’re right boycott batu cave this coming thaipusam. there are lots of other murugan temple for us to pray. even at home is sufficient.
Lord murugan is everywhere. he will guide us.
Ahmad sanusi.. you’re a good man and a true Islam. it’s people like MAlAYPOWER and those bloggers who speaks bad about other races is the cause of a honorable race like Islam being looked down by other countries as terrorist. Anyone whose true race be it Islam, Hindu, Cristian , Chinese will not look down and dishonor other race.
CrazyNuke…give them a good debate. go all out you’re the man for it.thanks for your support.
Let us stand united.
and never be divided or shaken up by all those so called “representative”for indian community.
They are just a puppet.
We should not fight against ourselves but fight the injustice.
God is JUST
WE R MALAYSIAN. FIGHT FOR RIGHT. BORN INDIAN DIE PURE INDIAN. INDIAN BOLEH. WE WILL PROVE IT.
hi everybody…..
I’m a Malaysian Indian student studying in overseas as I have the money to study abroad….But what will those with not enough money do?? Only a small amount of Indian in m’sia are capable of spending money on their children’s education as they have the money…
To mention majority of Indians are still poor…they make their children study until secondary school…to pursue their higher studies, they highly depend on the government institution as they cant afford private education institutions…This is a known fact..
“Irmila”…What do u know about Indians is m’sia???….Don’t tell me the Malays have any problem in gaining good education… I know a lot of my Indian friends who highly depend on the government university after their STPM…when they list down a list of course they are interested in….Do know what is the result…”They’ll get a course which was the last on their list”..This is what they obtain..This is what normally happens..People who wanted to study acc..Will get some other course which is not at all related…All we need is education to bring up ourselves….when that education is not properly provided what else the Indians can do…A Malay student with lesser mark than a Chinese or Indian can easily enter the university without any doubt…”CAN U SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?”
CAN ANYONE JUSTIFY THIS? WE WANT PROPER RIGHTS FOR GAINING EDUCATION…now only the Indian have been awaken to ask their rights
Thanks to HINDRAF for leading them …hope the government to appropriate action on this…
Next is about the police….How can they do so. Mixing chemical in the water to disperse the crowd… (DONT U HAVE A HEART?)….I don’t think it is necessary for the police to do so….even though it was said that it was an illegal rally….How can the police do so…?? Y no action on the police…
“The most important thing just ask yourselves what’s are your contribution to govt?” This is ur statement irmila…For ur information it’s the governments duty to look after the ‘rakyat’..not the rakyat’s job to look after the government….its the government duty to solve if there’s any problem in any of the community let it be Chinese ,Indian or Malay..
…irmila u don’t know the full story about what’s going on in the Indian community. so I guess u know what im trying to say…
MP: edited. if got nothing to say, better not say anything 🙂
Tuah67 is a 4 year old brainless ****t…just leave that insane kid alone..or he’ll get even more aggresive…maybe he thinks that he is Hang Tuah…hahahaha.Go eat **** !!..it takes a fool to fight with a fool like tuah67..jut ignore that pro malay **** !!.fools are best left by themselves.
tuah pegi mati la….hindraf hidup..we not to try to say malays not good….the present ruling umno malays..which never consider other races basics needs..shame one you coz pretend like dont know anything aja aja nak spport umno( makan duit la ni)
Dear Rajakumar,
I have travel India as a Muslim Traveller. No problem. Dont believe everthing you read. The indian community in Malaysia some times have bigger temple then some places in India. The issue is manipulation of information. So for all stop all this prejudice remarks.
MP: Just to add, do the indonesian consider themselves as Malay or Indonesian? I mean, do they have a “race” column in the forms etc.? Now, there’s some issue over plagiarism of dance/song by Malaysia. So, it seems that the Indonesians don’t see themselves as race (if they have such definition) first, but nation first?
Origin of the Malays
http://library.thinkquest.org/C001252F/intro/history/origins_of_the_malays.htm
The Malays originated in Yunnan, China. They Proto-Malays were also known as Jakun.
They were seafaring people. Probably because of their seafaring way of life or trading, they were believed to have lived in coastal Borneo. They then expanded into Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula. A Portuguese historian, Godinho de Eredia, referred to the Malays as Saletes (Orang Selat, or People of the Straits).
The Malays played a major part in the Making of great Malay empires of Malacca and Johor. Present day Malays of the Peninsula and the coasts of the Malay Archipelago are described anthropologically as deutero-Malays. They are descendants of the tribal proto-Malays mixed with modern Indian, Thai, Arab and Chinese blood.
